my friends? they are at an age where they are settling down, kids, etc. they have the ipods, mickey d's, and whatever, but from what i can see that they still have their families values (at least some) and spend time wit their so's and kids.

sorry, i was assuming. but your job or way of income have a lot to do with it. if all your time is spent on putting food on the table, how much time does that leave you to spend with love ones? not much time at all.

true. one of my cousins only spends about an hour or two with her son on workdays (single mom, but father comes around from time to time). thus on the weekends they are inseperable (sp?) because she values that time she gets with her son.

Are we talking about McDonaldization in the US alone or the whole world?I really believe that it effects some cultures more than others, and some society's more than others.

I, myself, dont go to the movies. If you think about it, youre NOT spending any quality time watching a movie becuase you have to be QUIET in order to watch it. So watchin it alone or with 50 people, makes no difference.

It has always baffled me, why people went on first dates to the movies. I'snt the sole purpose of dates to get to KNOW someone?

I havent been to an arcade since i was 11. Arcades are hard to find these days can be attributed to that, and the fact that im damn near 29.

Im not family oreinted and none of my family even lives in my state, im very independent. My friends are my family so i spend tiem with them. I dont have a woman becuase i feel that i cannot be in a manogimus(sp?) relationship.

We pretty much spend our time talking about the group we're members of, GWA (Gay Witches for Abortion) and how our next child will once again be sacrificed in a ritual manner for our King, Beelzebub. So far we've terminated a total of 8, thus my title "Master of Abortions." Naturally, being communists, we get as much medical coupons as possible and apply for low-income government paid housing and turn down higher paying jobs so we can continue to abuse our wonderful welfare system.

true. i've read in the newspaper of some people doing that..there are some free daycare/preschool programs, etc. its just that most people arent aware of them.
