I picked up Maxim today (because there is a half naked picture of Mariah Carey on the cover mmmmmmm.....) and the Bar O ' The Month is Fast Eddies Bon Air located in Alton Il. The place is kinda cool......the food is Great but the music is lame and the place is small as hell. It was just kinda cool to see a home town bar in a National Magazine. I suggest if you visit Alton hit up Mac's Time Out Night Club or Norbs Tavern. But here is the article:
Fast Eddie's Bon Air
This Midwestern tavern offers low-budget paradise by the neon light.
Good News, fatso! You can eat like a king at Fast Eddie's Bon Air, located 20 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri in down-home Alton, Illinois. And with its rep as "one of America's most haunted small towns, " the locals need to gird themselves with gluttony. Every item on the bar menu is under $2, including the Big Elwood on a Stick beef kabob and the ever-popular Mexican shrimp (anal corks not included). Open in 1921 by Anheuser-Busch, the Bon Air is standing-room-only on weekends, despite its 400-person capacity. The only illumination is provided by beer signs--and the mood lighting works, according to Fast Eddie Sholar himself, the owner since 1981. "You can get blow jobs on the dance floor, but you can bring your mom here, too." Classy! Haul your curiosity and your liver to 1530 E. 4th Street or call 618-462-5532.
And after you are done getting fucked up there just run up the street and pick up a hooker. They are easy to find around the area. LOL.
