a few people hated on the new west 2 comp but it was a solid fucking release. and double cd. i dunno if i had the first one.
i think it mighta been one of my favorite compilations but thats if we arent including easttrippin as an actual compilation and were looking at it like an album...minus the funk etc etc it was my favorite as a san diegan
to be fair yellow tape mixtapes/xxl handgunners from wrongkind are high up there in quality. i cant forget about them.id almost mention the backwood compilations SAS put out but since phil the ag and krondon are LA residents i dont know if it counts. shout out to the yellow and purple pack albums.
technically one of my favorite compilations ever out of SD is dave moss's comp forgotten city, i can bump it front to back to this day. it was the fact that almost everyone on there was kind of fresh and new at the time. marty mcphly to sau etc etc etc.
even though it was just released recently, the crip card is a classic compilation to me. it has alot to do with the fact that i had heard alot of the music before its release like 8-9 years back, much less being that one of the people instrumental to dropping it met his untimely demise (RIP hood, always remembered, never forgotten) one of my best friends did the cover.
