MASTERING QUESTIONS?????

^^^^ True mastering and an ear for it takes YEARS of practice from what I've heard from a few people. You want to find people with big or at least decent credits so you know you are getting a quality product. My homeboy has mastered 6-7 number one albums (including Sublime, don't know the other ones) and has years of experience at cheap rates so if anyone wants to get someting done, shoot me an email and I'll hook you up
there are descent mastering software you can buy that will help do a good job, however if its recorded poorly mastering aint gonna help, If I had to give advice on help making your recording top quality from your p.c. i would say invest in your front end i.e. mic pre such as avalon ( my personnel favorite is universal audio Ive compared them head to head with trident, avalon and neve) it depends on what sound you lookin for also your ad/da converters on most computers are cheap, you can buy a mini apogee for under a grand those two or either one you will see drastic differences ( as long as you have a general idea what your doing) ive seen people wit dope equipment have a poor sound and Ive seen others use there equipment they have and have a great sound.
i was watching rap or die dvd and now i understand why you cats in dago record at home, that studio west or whatever its called is to much, Im not on here trying to dis them Im sure they are good, maybe there isnt much comp wich keeps them busy and able to charge those fees, if I was you Id put $20 in your tank and come to L.a. or O.C. and save $ 45 an hour for professional studios wit at least the same quality
