Mastering is an artform and is not something that should be left up to somebody that doesn't understand the process.

There are a couple programs out there that are for mastering.....but I think they are a joke. If anything....you would need some good plug-ins. I use the Waves L2 for limiting and Q10 for EQ when I do my "ghetto mastering" in Sound Forge.....but I take it to the professional mastering facility when I'm mastering a CD for presing.

Yep....Sound Forge 6 is what I use. Actually......I really don't even do that anymore. I use the plug-ins now as part of my master effects in Cubase and turn them on whenever I need them. I find it to be alot less time consuming when using them in real time.

Anywayz.....I'm not sure what SF 6 comes stock with. I doubt it has anything that would be very helpful mastering-wise. Look into finding the Waves Platinum bundle.....it should have all the plug-in's you need to do some semi-decent mastering with. http://www.waves.com/

And you can always hit me via e-mail at [email protected] ....through a PM or on my message board about beats.
