from Sohh.com:
No Limit has been struggling to regain a foothold in the rap game like they had in the mid-90s and a new lawsuit isn't helping the embattled label. Producer Kenneth Darnell Franklin, also known as "K-Lou", has filed a lawsuit against Master P, No Limit Records, Priority Records, and Capitol/EMI Records for copyright infringement.
The suit claims that material from rapper Lil Italy appeared on the 1999 No Limit release On Top of The World without permission. Apparently, K-Lou has exclusive "sound recording and mechanical copyrights" to all Lil Italy's work and is seeking the court affirmation of those rights and unspecified damages. K-Lou is also seeking an accounting of unpaid royalties for another he worked on with No Limit. The labels had no comment on the suit.
