P's best CD is THE GHETTO'S TRYING TO KILL ME, but 99 WAYS isn't far behind. When I play NO LIMIT songs from the '93/'96 era to people who only know P from his recent musical bowel movements, you should see their jaws drop! They then usually say something like: "Holy shit! THAT'S Master P?!? Why doesn't he rap like that on his recent CDs?"
"Dead Presidents", "Rollin' Thru My Hood", "Bullets Got No Name", and "Hoe Games" are the shit! Tight production and good features from E-A-Ski, Rally Ral, a pre-AWOL Lil' Ric, the fast-flowing (and pretty dope) Silkk, as well as King George, C-Murder (who sounds like he just woke up on "Hoe Games", but that's cool) and Big Ed (R.I.P.) make this a must-have NO LIMIT CD. 4.5/5
(if it had more songs, I'd give it a 5/5, but what's there is cool).
BTW: This topic may have already been discussed, but I've heard word-of-mouth stories on the Net about P being "run out of the Bay Area" when he started copying 2Pac around summer '97.Is this true? Was his relocation to Louisiana responsible for his music changing? What's the story on this? PEACE!
