should've kept him around.

you know I have mixed feelings on this too. As far as he goes, I dont think he's a terrible coach. At least he has good rhetoric when talking about the future of the team. But at the same time, the Lions were worth watching last year when they focused on throwing to Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson and Sean McDonald. This season Kitna was pissed they wanted to run so much, which I can understand from both sides (Marinelli has a pretty talented rookie RB/Kitna is comfortable with the throw and has had some good results). Though keeping his son-in-law defensive coordinator seems to me to be a bad judgment call... simply because I RARELY see a par defensive performance or any great tackles. Plus trading away Shaun Rogers? MFKR was all we had! Trading Rogers cut our average weight on the line by like 30 pounds.

However he's had what.. 2 or 3 seasons to turn them around? That's about what you get in the NFL.

I hope he goes on to be successful with a different team.

I was being sarcastic. he was terrible. Everything he did was bad.

He won't ever be a head coach again, but he'll find a coordinator job probably.

The problem with him, is that he kept on saying stuff like, "I'm not gonna change the way I'm doing things here. We're on the right track." and he was saying this all the way until he got fired. The way he does things doesn't work.
