Ive noticed on forum to forum even site to site where the topics in the region always consist of.who is gonna be the one to put that region on the map..whos the hardest.etc etc.Its seems like most replies come from emotions then reality.Cause everybody lists there favorite rapper or buddies that rap.I also hear that.. we need to support and pick these albums up. Man Im tired of supporting these artists and after spending $17 dollars to find out shits wack...or even hearing a copy such as the new dpg and being offered a free copy...no thanks..shits wack.
Are we contributing to the west not being recognized anymore by supporting these artist with sub-par music..just cause they from the town,city are we not holding our standards up high and holding these artist accountable, or are we in such a state of dillusion that we want someone so bad from home to make it that we promote some B.S.
Man what happened to just buying shit thats hot..who cares where they from cause where Im from there are some tight artists but in reality its oversaturated with garbage...

i usually preview all albums before i cop, i got artists i lean towards because they came tight before but i only buy hot shit.. but thats the thing, we got people burnin the tight shit and down loadin.
no one is telling people to buy crappy cds, but atleast buy the ones that ARE hot.
thats where the problem lies, we not even supporting the people that put out the hottest shit in the buy.

i havent bought a Bay CD yet that wasnt hot.

music's so easy to get nowadays... that you'd really have to be a FAN in order to buy their cd... and also... bay albums arent even really publicized... these labels have to spend $$ on promotions to make $$... that's business

yeah i feel you 50cal, bay rap is flooded with a lot of garbage cuz everyone thinks they can rap. i find it hard to buy an album from an unknown artist because a lot of the times i find that i'm wasting my money. if its hot eventually it'll blow up but everybody ends up DL and burning the song!!! i'm sure labels check soundscans and bay sales are pretty low compared to cities like houston.

I like Mac Dre, have'nt had a Mac Mall CD since Untouchable. So the point is I won't buy anything for Thizz just becasue they have something to do with it. Support and buy good music..., but don't knock the hustle on those from you region,, if "you" not feeling it. If music was defined by one person, it would only appeal to that one person. I don't buy Slim Thug, and ummm M.O.P but that don't mean they aint tight to someone else. I don't want to taint the image of an artist to someone else who might be interested in something I'm not. I don't have to like it, but I can't hate and say they doing they thang. Hating is for the those who can't do what they hatin on! Stay on the bench and hate that you aint getting no playing time!
