LAWTON, Okla. (AP) -- A 28-year-old man who attempted to pay for his bar tab with gum wrappers was arrested after a scuffle with a police officer on Tuesday night, authorities said. A bartender told police the man was playing pool with an open bottle of beer and spilled some of it on the table. She said he first tried to pay his $32 tab with a credit card, which was declined.

When police arrived and ordered the man to pay his tab, they reported that he began counting out gum wrappers as if they were cash.

The man was detained on a complaint of disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer.

yeah your life is pretty not goin good when you cant pay your 32 dollar tab and you fight the cops
lol by that point you should pretty much kill yourself. I mean how could you NOT know you couldn't pay that tab beforehand. And WHY the hell do you have 32 gum wrappers in your pocket? You should have saved the money from buying all that fucking gum and used it to but drinks.

What if the bartender really took it though. like " good shit folks, have a good day"

most people are too dumb to realize what money you just gave them and if you look at them seriously and ask for your change they just cash out. not too many people are emotionally attached to their cash register as they dont view it as their money. its actually your money, since you just gave them some to put in.

with that said not too many people have the balls to pull that move on people and thats why it works

you gotta interupt the transaction and talk to them though

most people completely forget about the money, thats not in they head, all they see is what they compute on the register and what loads up on the computer, and you can manipulate that

I don't know how that would work...the whole blank paper trick.

And Gas is right, but it depends on the person on the register. Most people working in a 7-11 or whatever are making minimum wage and don't give 2 shits about it...they're not paying any attention anyways. Especially young people. Morons.
