FULLERTON - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who assaulted a woman who was shopping at a CVS drugstore.
The woman was assaulted at least twice about 2:20 a.m. July 8 at the CVS Pharmacy at 2200 N. Harbor Blvd., said Sgt. Andrew Goodrich of the Fullerton Police Department.
The incident was caught on surveillance video.
The video shows an unidentified man walking down one aisle and then into the aisle where the woman was bent over looking at an item on the shelf, Goodrich said.
The man appears to rub his hand up the woman's legs and buttocks as he walks by.
Seconds later, the man returns and grabs the victim's hips and thrusts his pelvis into her buttocks, Goodrich said.
The woman, described as being in her 50s, told the man she was going to alert security and the man left, he said.
Detectives fear the man may be assaulting other women.
"Due to the brazen public nature of this assault, we are concerned that there may be other victims of this suspect," said Detective Kathryn Hamel.
Goodrich said the man, who has a British accent, is described as white, 18 to 21 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, about 160 pounds with brown hair.
The man left in a black truck, Goodrich said.
