Man Charged With 1st-Degree Murder In Car Wash Shooting
Autopsy Shows Victim Shot 22 Times

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Jackson County prosecutor has charged a Kansas City, Mo., man with first-degree murder in connection with a shooting on Sunday night in Kansas City.
Timothy T. McClendon, 34, has been charged in connection with the shooting death of Jose O. Jenkins at a car wash near 42nd Street and Prospect Avenue about 7:45 p.m. He has also been charged with armed criminal action.
According to court records, the shooting was captured on video cameras located at a nearby business.
Court records state that the victim initially shot at McClendon, who ran from the scene. McClendon returned fire and hit Jenkins, who could not stand up after being wounded.
McClendon then walked to his vehicle, reloaded his gun and fired multiple shots at Jenkins, court records state. He fired the gun from his vehicle, which he had pulled up next to the victim.
An autopsy showed about 22 gunshot wounds in Jenkins' head, neck and torso.
Prosecutors have recommended a $500,000 cash bond.
