I was surprised to find a story with a positive mood today. It's about a firefighter who, after a roof collapsed on him, was brain damaged and literally speachless. Then almost ten years later he suddenly spoke again. I thought it was kind of weird that he only thought it was 3 months since the event. Here's the story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7717220/?GT1=6542

This is a lot different case Mcleanhatch. Terri Sachavio suffered brain damage that was irreversable. She would of had the brain function of a frog. Hardly any reason that we should call congress and hold prayer vigils to keep her alive.

Not one person on this board would want to be kept alive just so they might recover to only have the brain function of a frog.

I thought about Terry Schiavo too. What's with all the smart alecky negative remarks to another's opinion. Its not like any of you all provide scientific facts to back up every statement. What if the vegetable was due to come back to life the day after she was made to die of hunger? I'm happy for the fireman and his family.

thats great, its gotta be crazy seeing your kids and theyre 10 years older than the last time you saw them.
I cant believe he survived that, especially with 7 minutes with no air.

That is indeed a positive article. :)

I find no similarity to the Schiavo case in it though. But that was discussed into the ground awhile back, if'n Ah do buh-lieve.

I'm happy for his family.
