BACKGROUND
ROBBERY: Assistant District Attorney Julie Doss said in an opening statement that Rosemary Hobbs was shot four times and Herbert Hobbs was shot once in what began as a robbery.
EVIDENCE: Public defender Adam Haselgren said there’s no physical evidence — murder weapon, fingerprints or DNA — tying Joshua Anderson to the deaths.
PENALTY: Because Anderson is mentally disabled, prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty.
