Yeah, the added features definitely make the game better. The ‘hit-stick’ and more focus on defense really make the game more realistic. Also, I like how on offensive pass plays, some receivers have different route options according to the defensive lineup. Apparently, more skilled receivers have a higher chance of choosing the correct route than a poorer receiver. This actually makes it more challenging for the user, who has to predict which route his receiver will take, also making us observe the defense more closely. (I’ve already fucked up a few times and thought the receiver would go one way, but ended up going another).

There are however a few small problems I’ve noticed. First off, I purchased the “Collectors addition” (I believe PS/2 only) which was $10 more and supposedly has a few extra features. I’ve noticed that at some points of the game, there will be small delays. For example; after a finished play the screen will cut to a close-up of the tackled ball holder getting up, at this point the game may freeze for a quick second before cutting back to your play selection. Anyone else notice this?

Franchise mode seems promising. I like how users can choose team captains and learn info from them. Also, player morale is a cool idea and contract disputes as well as player competition for starting slots etc. makes it more entertaining.

remember you can also use playmaker control while playing as the QB to change your recievers route on the fly...so you don't have to guess which way the reciever is gon go on the optional routes, you can tell him which way...if you rely on the cpu, thats when mistakes happen...you online wit this yet sixx? holla homie

I got it on PS2 and the only thing that annoys me is the menu load times in the background if you go to select your option too slow. AHHHHH There were a couple other little things but overall its tight as fuck.

Oh yea Free Agency takes a fuckin dickyear
