no, u just need a network adapter to and a modem, u can use the modem u already have, wheather it be 56k, or cable, i wouldnt play with 56k cuz theres too much lag, network adapters cost about 40 bucks, u attach it to the back of the Ps2 and then hook ur line out from the back of ur PC to the Ps2. Its one of the best purchases i have made. Its so much different than playing the meaningless cpu, u can chat and have voice chat so u can talk shit on other players, go get this, i still play NBA LIVE 2003 everyday online, i dont even like the game that much, its just fun to have a real person on the other end, u use more strategy

I got both Madden and ESPN. ESPN is the better game of the 2. Madden is 2 slow, and if you played last years then theres really no need to get this years, although the Playmaker feature is pretty tight, but thats about it.

madden is slow in the lower settings...play it at all madden its faster...each setting is faster.
