EA are some assholes when it comes to their street dates. I've heard of them closing stores down for that shit.

I've been playing that shit since last Friday.

7/11s are known to break street dates because they are clueless when it comes to games. Most of the time they get the orders in about a week before the release date and are instructed not to open the boxes or sell them until the release date, but they don't give a fuck most of the time.

most stores around the world take pre orders to get you into the store early with the potential of selling you another game on top of the one you pre ordered.
