"Macho Man" Randy Savage held a rap concert last night in Treasure Island, Florida (no, we aren't kidding). Savage was singing tracks off his latest CD titled "Be A Man."
According to Scott Fedor, who attended the concert and sent in a full report to WrestlingObserver.com, noted that radio show host Bubba The Love Sponge talked about the concert on a daily basis leading up to the event. Bubba and Savage have had a long running feud and Bubba encouraged his listeners to come out in full force to let Randy know exactly what they thought about him. Bubba reportedly gave out free yellow t-shirts that read "Hulk Hogan Rules" on the front and "Macho Man Sucks" on the back, with a "Proud Member of the Bubba Army" written below. Many people wearing the t-shirts ended up getting into the show despite off-duty copys trying to prevent them from doing so.
Brian Adams (Crush) and Macho Man arrived together in a limo to the event. There were a few cheers to greet them followed by a chorus of boos from angry Bubba fans. Many comments were shouted at Randy. Said to be an amazing scene. A cover band was inside playing as warm-up for the show. The venue was said to be very tiny, hardly a place to hold a serious concert. Randy Savage eventually hit the stage and his performance was said to be horrendous. If anyone remembers the Millie Vanilli incident in the early 90's where they were lip-synching to music at a big concert and the CD skipped...well, the same thing happened to Savage just three songs into the show. Savage was lip-synching to his music, trying to block out the overwhelming amount of boos and jeers from the crowd. When the CD started skipping, Savage tried to keep singing until Adams gave him the sign to stop. Everyone tried to compose themselves to continue the show, but with the rowdy crowd and technical problems, it proved to be too much for Savage. Randy slammed down the mic and left the show quickly.

Hahahaha, now isn't that something? Hah, I might check out the CD to see how bad it really is!
