Since MD's death his music seems to have spread everywhere. I have witnessed Mac Dre on the radio all over the bay, in San Diego, even in Mexico. He's on Sirus and other XM radio, there's copies of Cutthoat Committee in Border's bookstore. Yesterday I was at Mission Valley Mall in SD and seen Mac Dre T Shirts with the cover of Dregonomics on them. Ive heard people on the board say you can by Mac Dre TShirts in NY, Ive heard people on the board from Ohio and the Northwest and Florida saying people down there are bumpin Mac Dre all the time. Ive personally witnessed people in both LA and San Diego "gettin stupid" and doing the "Thizzle Dance."

So my question is, with all this goin on, what are Mac Dre's soundscans like? How are his sales doin? If people in SoCal, the Northwest, and the East Coast want to hear Mac Dre, are his album sales killin it right now?

I think the internet is the greatest tool known to man. Where else can you get music, porn, news, and shopping in one place like the internet? I think that the internet is responsible for help spreading MD's legacy to other people. There were posts all over hip hop boards including SOHH (eastcoast site) that were VITAL and UPPED with hundreds of RIPS and people checkin out YOUSENDIT links to MD's music.

So, whether or not we agree on the internet helping Mac Dre become a big icon, we can certainly agree that it has spread his music to places he never had fans in. My question is, has the internet spreading Mac Dre's music also become the internet stealing his shit? We've seen fags on here like Reezersharp or whatever the fuck his name was explicitly trying to bootleg hundreds of dollars of Mac Dres music, and other places are avaliable to download songs and whole albums for free.

I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this. Clearly Mac Dre is becoming an icon outside the bay but I have a feeling his numbers aren't as large as they could be...Do you think Mac Dre could be the most bootlegged artist in hip hop?

Im just sickened by how many people are capitolizing off of his death, from all the fake merch on ebay to all these so called "mixtapes" which use every Mac Dre song and Mac Dre "featured on" song they can find, enough already. The fans know about Dre and they can find his music on HIS albums.
