I doubt it.
MAC DRE puts out more bullshit than any rapper I know.
Granted, some of the songs are slumps, but not enough of them to try releasing ten albums a year. What he should do is get each one of the good tracks from those albums (about 1 per album) and put them all on a single album, that way we don't have to hear 90% garbage.

Man I made a post about this CD awhile ago and I rate this album a 8/10. This is a pretty good album in my opinion. I actually don't even skip a track when I listen to it, matter of fact I can say I listen to that album more than Stupid Doo Doo Dumb.

Bangin tracks
Have you Eva
Bleezies N Heem
Always into Something

and my favorite Track ((((((***HOLD OFF***)))))))

Thats probably one of the hardest beats Mac Dre has ever spat on.

7/10

It's nowhere near YOUNG BLACK BROTHA or STUPID DOO DOO DUMB, but it's fun, and that counts for something. The lyrical vibe is that of dudes who are drunk and thizzed just having fun, and the beats sound like a cross between EPMD's early stuff and The Alkaholics' first CD (MD tried to repeat this vibe again on MAC DAMMIT MAN & FRIENDS, and it didn't work).

"Have You Ever", "Bleezies-N-Heem", "So Hard", "Always Into Somethin'" (with Sleep Dank, Da Unda Dogg and J.Diggs) "Chevs and Fords" (with Little Bruce), "Hold Off" (with Richie Rich), the freestyle whose title escapes me (with B.A., Keek The Sneak and PSD) and "Mac Drevious" (with the incomparable MIAMI!!!) are my favorites. The rest is mediocre, but MD being MD, it's cool.

Oh yeah--the BONUS TRACK is six minutes of sloppy, drunk/high-off-our-ass but hilarious, fun conversation between MD, Shouman, Suga Free and that nutball Miami! "Shouuu-MAAAAAAN! Little BrUUUUUUU-CEEEE!" cracks me up everytime I hear Miami say it!

If you're expecting politics and deep meaning, IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY isn't for you, but if you don't mind CDs that just set out to entertain, pick it up. PEACE!

Not to contradict you or anything, Humboldt, but wasn't MAC DRE'S THE NAME the CD on which Hollis did the beats? I don't have my copy of IT"S NOT WHAT YOU SAY with me now, but I seem to remember the tracks being done by Mike Mosely, Wash House, Nickatina, Lev Berlak, etc. I don't remember seeing Hollis' name on this CD, but I could be wrong...

Glad to see someone else likes the last track..."I! AM!!! WONDERFUL! MIGUEL! LA MASS!!!" LMFAO! If you're a Vallejo Rap fan, but you're not up on Miami, you ain't up on shit!

PEACE!
