Back to reality? Fluke? HAHA, I understand what your going through man, all of this laker domination, all of these threads, all of Kobe's success, it built up alot of anger and frustration inside you Laker Haters. It did seem a bit quiet during this run dont you think? Now your venting your frustration, hey, its perfectly understandable. But I must ask, you say it was all a fluke based on one loss; as opposed to what? What in your eyes would the Lakers have to acomplish to get respect out of YOU? They won 7 in a row averaging over a 13 point margin of victory and they lose once and thats it? Let me add they lost to one of the top 3 teams in the NBA. If they had lost to the Grizzlies tonight, maybe you would have a little more evidence to back up your allegations. Its funny, I dont think I saw you or CZAR give any props to the Lakers or Kobe for the way they have been performing. Sniko, Menace and Sinista all gave their props, they knew it was due. Hell, even MB3 found it in himself to give half assed props to the Lakers.
As for the game at hand, again I didnt see it, but from the stats I can see enough to come to a few conclusions.
1. I dont know who was guarding Duncan, Walker or O'Neal, either way they got took. It looks as if it were Walker, clearly thats an exploit waiting to happen, and will always be a tough aspect to overcome when playing the Spurs.
2. Kobe, despite the over-exageration by BAMMER, did shoot to much. He has been scoring a hefty amount the past few games without being the slightest bit selfish, now he is feeling he has to put up those numbers; he let it get to his head a little bit. That wasnt nearly a reason why they lost, he shot around 50%. As for mentioning the 7 turnovers... nice try, how about 44 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals? "GAME OVER"
3. There are no excuses. No "the rest of the team didnt chip in", from the looks of it, Horry did more then his job grabbing 15 rebounds in less then 30 minutes. The Spurs won that game and thats all there is to it. The Lakers got beat. Spurs are a tough team, props to them, I look forward to seeing them in the playoffs.
