how is a bird going 500 mph?

they can only go at most 10 mph. unless they got shot out of a hurricane like a slingshot motions.

so physics question? if a bird gets sucked into a engine that is going 500 mph, when the engine itself is goin 500 mph,

does that mean the bird even tho it cant go 500 mph, the bird itself is going 500 mph?? so its relative to the other objects speed, i guess?

god damn, i need to start doing some drugs, maybe ill start out with angeldust.

I heard a penny can't actually hurt (or at least kill) you when dropped from a high building because wind resistance doesn't allow it to reach a high enough speed.

http://www.gantless.com/paper.html
Way too much science about the subject. To summarize:
These terminal velocities convert to about 20-45 mph (32-72 kph). This may cause a bit of a sting, but it is not going to kill a person.
On the other hand the birds don't even need to be moving in order to fuck up fast moving airplanes. As long as one thing is moving fast (500mph or whatever), when it hits something shit will get fucked up (like when airplanes hit the ground or a tree).

but my point is that the bird is going as fast as the engine is going. so if the engine is 500 mph, the bird is going 500 mph sucked into the engine also, rigth?? two things going at the same rate of speed at the same time, even tho the engine is doing the work for both objects? but i guess you can say that the bird other object is doing some work to but to itself?? to get into the engine.

i might have to take this into the GOM.

god im gonna kill myself. somebody tell me all their thoughts on god please.

everything has a the same max speed on how fast it can fall, and that is like 230+ miles per hour. a penny going only 200 and something miles an hour can not do damage to you

Thats due to wind resistance if im not mistaken... Take that out of the equation, then is it possible?

CONCLUSION: Reject the hypothesis and instead accept that a penny falling at terminal velocity will not kill a person. After reviewing the table of terminal velocities, a penny may fall faster than a Ping-Pong ball, but certainly not any faster than a basketball. These terminal velocities convert to about 20-45 mph (32-72 kph). This may cause a bit of a sting, but it is not going to kill a person. For further confirmation, Dennis Thompson tells about dropping pennies in a vacuum [5]. He says the pennies simply bounce several feet high, but the impact leaves no visible marks on the penny. Although the fall from the Empire State Building is three times that of the vacuum chamber, a penny certainly will not fall faster in air than in this chamber thus making pennies non-lethal.

DISCUSSION OF ERROR: For the measurements taken in the USC Stairwell on September 13, air conditioners were running in the building. Consequently, air drafts in the stairwell may have skewed the data to represent longer or shorter than actual falling times.

Since speed maxes out, its not gonna be going as fast as a bullet, that wouldnt make sense. i dont think it matters anyway cuz i heard/read that the penny wouldnt even make it to the ground, it'd get blown against the side of the building.

And it doesnt matter what speed the bird is going, if one object is going a high enough speed, bad damage can happen. Look at a cop car going 100 that hits a deer. Theres even a video of some race in south africa where a fire/emt dude (i think he was 19) gets hit by one of the cars and his body just elongates and spirals like a spaghetti noodle.
