MARTINSBURG, W.Va. ( Court TV) — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy walked into Pepper's News Stand the morning of July 16 and stood at the counter staring at the magazines. When store manager Ellie Masters asked him if she could help, the teen drew a .25-caliber pistol and pointed it at her. He then demanded an adult publication from the top shelf.
Masters handed the magazine over and then called police. The boy was arrested just moments later two blocks away.
The young Hustler rustler, who has not been identified, was charged with wanton endangerment, possession of a deadly weapon, and brandishing, according to Berkeley County authorities.
He also faces a charge of providing false information after he initially gave police a yellow squirt gun when asked to hand over the weapon used in the incident.
