that cd use to go for like between 40-70 on ebay but now that its gettin repressed that shits dropped. there is one on ebay right now for 10.00 with only 16 hours left.

i guess mutherfuckers arent down for that shit no more..lol because its not gonna be rare anymore.

you guys collect your cds because you like them or just because they are rare?

yes, there´s always that risk, you never know what album they will re-release
another rare is Terrorists-Always Bizness, Never Personal
i heard some talk, that it will be re-released soon as well.
this gots me to the point, that i wont pay over 30 $ for album
coz it doesn´t matter how rare it is @ right now.

Eva since i started collecting it been cuz of the real beats and real artists, rarity came into play with me when i started trading with oversears, but when i started trading with oversears I also started to get ripped the fuck off. Rare cd's that are rare for a reason, they suck ass.

Indo you need to hook me up with some of those CD-Rs soon homie cuz im getting VERY impatiant on your 'broken' computer.

what is so wrong about collecting records? The usual collector starts collecting the easy to find CDs and then goes on filling holes in the collection. One time or another filling those holes will be hella expensive if you really want a record. And once you have got one record there comes another one you should have had in your collection. I have been a rapfan ever since 85 and I have bought records since then. I collect records for the love of hip hop and not for the rarity or the value. A record ain't worth shit as long as you keep it in your house. It's only worth what the next man gives you if you decide to sell it. Of course, I have seen records and searched for records that were hard to find and since some of them are hella rare that means that it most likely will be expensive.
but I can co-sign on the fact that most rare records suck ass. Have anyone noticed on ebay that every record released prior to 2000 is listed as "classic", even records that no one has ever heard of, LOL.

Fuck buyin shit only cause it's rare. A lot of rare shit is sick though. That's why it's so frustrating going through some of these threads and finding shit that I will more than likely never get. That's why I'm all about some CDR's, and downloads. I have shit I've been looking for, for like 2 years it's fucking annoying.

That's crazy about Deadly Verses though. That was the first CD I spent more than $20 on though. It was like 2 years ago and I heard "I wanna smoke". Next thing I knew I dropped a bill on that shit. Oh well I still think it's sick as fuck, easily GP's best album.

yea theres still alot of mega rare shit that i proly never will hear in my life :\ but i remember css like the lil whit that never were on ebay and damn good, i still bump that shit.
for example the vontel - tru fo life tape might be neva in my hands or the sensonate gs tape.that sucks but keep me goin on searchin , i also just found a tape only called , j-mac - keepin it real (1995 little rock arkansas) im wondering if this is j-macs fiorst album,if so then i jus found one of these legendary raritys,but even didnt kno bout this one lol

If i see something thats pre 1999 and it has no barcode i always buy it. I find most of my gems at used cd stores. Shit some days i will spend all day going from cd store to cd store looking for gems. It's worth it tho, shit a fucking 9-5 will only pay 500 a week and just driving around looking for shit i can find that in a day. The down side is there are only somany cd stores in a certain area and once you hit em all up you gotta wait about a month before you can do it again. i generally have a rule tho, i wont buy a cd unless i can make 4x what i paid for it. but where i stay there are a shitload of rares around because no one collects cds really around here and they dont know if they have a gem or not then they sell the cd for 3 bucks because they dont like it.

^^^^try pawn shops too. Belive it or not pawn shops got allot of cds probably stolen and sold by crack heads but oh well.

I was just lookin...this gangsta pat cd really isnt all that rare anyways and there is no reason in the world this cd or homicidal lifestyles shoud be worth 40-70 bucks. I see both of them on ebay once a week.

what is that Sensonate G's? i always see that on your list. where are they from? also do you actually have that J-Mac tape. that must be his 1st release.

sensonate gs (tape only?) are from St louis , its Lil Whits crew and they released an album in 97'.me was told that its incredible smooth g-funk and got sum real dope sounding !!anyways its unfoundable :\
the j-mac tape is on the way, im really curious about that one.cover looks really good !!
