Sounds to me that Gilbert was being funny/smart ass when he said "im not leaving my teammate". I mean gilbert is known to be a funny ass dude. I doubt that he was using "I play for the Washington Wizards" as an excuse not to get arrested. He got out of the car when they handcuffed his friend. They tell him to get back in the car... he says no.... then tells them why... which sound like he was joking when he said that line.. lol peeps around the nba says he a real joker.
