Shows you've been to, are going to, whatever. Share some tales.

I saw The Receiving End of Sirens and Circa Survive last week, fucking great show. TREOS is still sick even without Casey. Andrew threw me his drumstick when they finished the set since I was front row singing all of Casey's parts that would've been left out had it not been for me screaming everything haha, and I had him sign it after the night. Anthony Green is a trip to watch live. He has to pull the mic away from his face every time he hits a high note, which is like every other word. He has high off his ass too. He almost fell off stage but grabbed a kid in the crowd by the hair and pulled himself back up rofl. During the encore some kids started singing a Saosin song and Anthony looked at them and mouthed "You fucking assholes... That was funny though." Then TREOS threw a bunch of giant rubber balls into the crowd from the balcony and everyone started throwing them at the drums which fell over, so Anthony started whipping the balls at kids faces in the crowd.

Next up for me is either Chiodos on the 23rd, or I might hold off and wait to see them at Warped on the 30th.

Sad Panda puts on a great show. By the end of next month I'll see Decrepit Birth, Vile, Deeds of Flesh, Odious Mortem, and Wednesday 13. Too bad I couldn't see Cyanide Era last month in Sac since it was 21+.

I'll be seeing the same line up in August. Wasn't Portugal the Man there? How where they? What about that other band Keatling or something like that?

How is Circa Survive live? I've heard mostly positive but then some negative.

Im seeing poison the well (again) with it dies today later this month, that'll be a sick fucking show!
I have really got into Poison the Well alot lately (thanks Smurf.) I picked up Tear From the Red, Distance Makes The Heart Grow Fonder and The Opposite of December... about a month ago and they all get steady play. The Opposite of December is such an amazing fucking album. I still need to get You Come Before You.

How is It Dies Today Smurf? I have heard about them but never heard any of their music. Is their some bands similar to them I might know about to compare to? What would you catagorize them under? What are some albums by them I should check out?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to End Fest to see Red Hot Chilli Peppers and The Mars Volta in August. I'm kind of bummed because Modest Mouse was going to play and they are great live but the cancelled to finish up their album. The Mars Volta is replacing them and while I'm a big fan of them also I just saw them a few months ago. Oh well should be a great concert. I'm also looking forward to seeing The Subways and Nine Black Alps at End Fest too.

Portugal wasnt on our lineup Nuttso. We had Days Away and Youinseries opening. I still want to see Portugal. Very Badly (lol)
Circa is fun as fuck to watch live. I knew maybe 6 of the 12 songs they did and I still had a blast. Look at their bass players face and you'll know what I mean

Well I won't be buying You Come Before You then lol. I'll prob. still give it a listen to make up my own mind seeing are tastes clash sometimes. But I really can't stand 18visions so I doubt I will like it.

I like From Autumn To Ashes a lot but don't care for any of the other bands you said It Dies Today sound kind of like. I'll peep the song you said to download then a couple others just to give them a listen.

Good looking out on the info Smurf. That sucks with Poison the Well though...I really like the albums I got a lot. I thought that the singing on Distance... sounded different from the others lol. I thought maybe the singer just changed his style up or something. I'll have to check out A Jealousy Issue as well.

I've never seen anything that really took my breath away.

I saw both A Perfect Circle and Tool, and both of them were good. Probably the best concerts I've been to. I would see them again anytime.

Two concerts that I am thankful I was able to see were Mac Dre (w/ B-Legit and RBL) and Sublime, for obvious reasons. I was pretty young (14) when I saw Sublime so I wasn't able to appreciate it as much as I would right now, but one thing I remember best is that the baselines were so strong my ribcage was vibrating to a point that I thought it would implode. We all sat in a circle like some hippies in the middle of the (GE) crowd and started blazin, it was a great expierence.

I've seen more concerts, some big names, but nothing worth mentioning on here.

B-Buzz: I'm not sure how familiar you are with Circa Survive but did they play any new songs? I am greatly anticipating a new album.

They played 1 new one. It was really slow, but Anthony hit some crazy notes. No clue what it was called though.
And I know what you mean by the baseline thing. Blood Bros. screams made my heart palpitate in a bad way haha.

Blood Brothers are the shit:devious:

The show I went to was them and Minus the Bear. Talk about two totally different types of rock music. It was tight though because the crowd was really into both of them.

Both put on a great show, but man...Blood Brothers damn near brought the fucking house down (they went last.)

The Roots have put on the best live show I've ever seen.....the first time I saw them they performed for damn near 4 hours....and that was almost 10 years ago....Moby has a good live show too....Jay-z live sucked, he brought not only all of rocafella on stage, but also everyone he's ever met in his life.....there was like 30 people on stage standing there, not doing shit. Lauryn Hill also had a good live show, I saw her do an acoustic show, which was coo, and also a huge ensemble with like a 25 piece band....she even had Carlos Santana come out and play....Redman & KRS-One also have good live shows, hella energy....I like Outkast's shows because they use concepts and stick to them during the show....Incubus was also tight, since their sound varies so much, they go from sitting on the couch playing driven acoustic to rockin the fuck out with a certain shade of green (my favorite song by them btw)

Last night I saw Fear Before the March of Flames/The Dear Hunter/Ours/Circa Survive at the Metro.
Website said 6:30 start time which is right when I got there, but apparently there was an industrial/goth show later that night so they made Fear Before go on at 6:15. They were playing something from Art Damage when I walked in, which I was never a big fan of. Then they went into 4 straight songs from The Always Open Mouth. Taking Cassandra To the End Of the World Party, My (Fucking) Deer Hunter, High As A Horse, and Complete & Utter Confusion. It was so fucking kickass, Anthony Green came out and did his part in Fucking Deer Hunter and everyone went apeshit.
Then The Dear Hunter came on. Bohan, the kid from His Hideous Heart that's good friends with Casey came with them from Detroit to the show so we got up front to yell "play Sean Kingston" at Casey when they were setting up. Just like the last time I saw them, only about 4 other people in the crowd knew the words to any songs. They played City Escape, Oracles On the Delphi Express, The Procession, Dear Ms. Leading and Red Hands. And just like the last time I saw them, the entire crowd went nuts by the time they were done. Casey told me they sold more albums than they had anywhere else on the tour.
Next came Ours. I drove to the show so I didn't want to bother drinking at all, but this band was so fucking boring it actually drove me to go to the bar. They were terrible. It was like 30 Seconds To Mars in a coma.
Then it was time for Circa Survive. I was in the middle of the crowd so it was fun as all hell. They had confetti cannons, bubble machines and giant balloons being thrown/shot into the crowd the entire set. A girl threw a painting on the stage and Anthony hung it on the drum set. It got a little hot so I moved back by the bar to cool off and saw a little kid wandering around so I asked if he was lost, he said he couldn't find his sister so I told him to stay by me and we'd look for her once the show ended. They had about an hour and 15 minute set, playing from what I remember Living Together, In the Morning and Amazing, The Greatest Lie, The Difference Between..., Mandala, Semi-Constructive Criticism, Kicking Your Crosses Down, Act Appalled, In Fear and Faith, The Great Golden Baby, Stop The Fuckin' Car, Oh, Hello, Always Getting What You Want, Meet Me in Montauk, and All Your Friends Are Gone. After that we headed outside and the kid found his sister, who ended up remembering me from the 3/Porcupine Tree show because Billy Riker told her I was the new drummer in Coheed lol. I had a blast, even with Anthony only singing half the lyrics to songs like he always does. Now I think Im going to try to see Fear Before every time they're in town, they definately put on the best show of the night.

Yeah Fear Before... is fucking great live. I saw them with Norma Jean and Between the Buried and Me around a year ago now.

While Fear Before... was great I really don't think anyone fucks with BTBAM live show. You need to see them live RJ, they will blow your fucking mind.

I know you are just a casual fan but if you haven't checked out Colors by BTBAM yet do it and I can guarantee you will love it.

Last show I saw was Battles at Neumos here in Seattle on the 3rd...they were amazing live. Seriously check them out if you can.

Next show up for me is Deck the Hall Ball with Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, Co & Ca, She Wants Revenge, Spoon and The Kooks. I like all those bands except for The Kooks (they are okay I guess) so it should be a great show.

I might try to catch Les Savy Fav this week but it's looking like I will have to work.

After that I want to try to catch these shows...

Goon Moon
Schoolyard Heroes & The Fall of Troy
