I use it...it's pretty tight!

Using TVersity with the Xbox 360

Only with TVersity this screen will show Podcasts in addition to your saved playlists, making it possible to enjoy your favorite podcasts via the Xbox 360.
Only with TVersity this screen will show Internet photo feeds in addition to local photo folders, making it possible to enjoy feeds from Flickr and other photo sharing websites via the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 automatically detects TVersity.
Only with TVersity the video screen will show Internet videos in addition to local video files, this includes videos enclosed in RSS feeds, live streaming videos and more. You will also be able to play Divx/Xvid, MPEG4, H.264, Matroska and many other file formats.
The Xbox 360 can play live Internet video streams coming from TVersity (no other media server can do that).

I really like the DivX support!

Edit!
and it works for YouTube links.....swwwweeeeeet!
figured something out today. Say you have a link to a YouTube page, like this:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Mc-7YlBYWc4

Well, of course that's to the whole page, and what you need for TVersity is a URL directly to the SWF file. Well, see where it says /watch?v=Mc-7YlBYWc4 - all you have to do is change the URL slightly:

http://youtube.com/v/Mc-7YlBYWc4.swf

and voila! a link directly to the SWF file. I created a simple rss file with URLs to a few YouTube videos, put it up on my web server, pointed TVersity at it, and it worked.

they will drop the price by christmas, there is no way they can compete right now with their shitty line up of games. wii's outselling the ps3 5 to 1 in japan.

bump...wasssup someone explain how to do this

all you do is download the software from the site....install it on your pc...and put your videos in a specific directory.
  1. If you are using the Xbox 360, it will discover TVersity when you set it to access music, photos or videos from a computer. You may need to first disconnect from the previous media server you used (done via the system blade) and to disable media sharing via WMP11/WMC, or else the 360 will keep reporting that no servers were found on the network.
Minimum System Requirements

  • Pentium III 700 Mhz or better (Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz with support for Hyper Threading is recommended)
  • 128 MB of memory or more (512 MB recommended)
  • 50 MB of disk space (At least 1 GB of free space is recommended for cache area of transcoded media)
  • Windows XP or Windows 2000
  • DirectX 9.0 or higher
  • Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
  • For transcoding to WMV (Xbox 360) WMP11 is required (Win2k and Win2K3 users need the Microsoft codecs from the Ace Codec Pack instead)
  • Xbox 360 users will need the 2006 Fall upgrade from Microsoft in order to browse videos from their computer via TVersity.
  • Audio enabled on the computer running the software
  • Macromedia Flash version 7 or higher for the GUI

Just install it and access it from the 360. Works for streaming online video radio stations etc.

I got this to work last night, the only issue I'm having is that the server app keeps dropping connections. Basically One minute I can play a file and the next I get a network error message. I'm going to do some more testing tonight. One thing that is important is your system. I'm running it on a low end system and it's a resource hog like a mofo. I'm thinking about stashing this PC in a closet somewhere and using it as a stand alone media server for this as I'll be buying a new PC soon.
