I know ya'll weren't expecting it...

but Jon Kitna teabagged Chicago's entire passing coverage defense. So for the first time in a long time, Detroit sits #2 in the NFC North.

Lions passing game is on fire this year, I give them props. And everyone was trying to bash the raiders in Week 1 saying "How can you lose to the lions". They are a hella good team this year

They are not a "hella good team this year," did you see what happened to them last week? Don't try to downplay the raiders' loss to them by acting like they are the shit now. Maybe the Bears are just stinking it up this year.

I, for one, DID see this coming....the bears have been playing like shit period, they thought greasy ass was supposed to save them.....ha!

I'm not gonna say that the lions are hella good this year, but they are a much improved offensive team. kitna might actually be right about winning 10 games this year

yeah but when the raiders lost everyone was acting like we lost to the worst team in the league, both teams were pretty even

Our entire secondary was hurt, and they still didn't have a good passing game. The numbers were good but they didn't do shit until the second half. Griese had more passing yards than Kitna so don't try to act like the Lions are the new Rams, because they're not that good. The Bears are struggling and half the starting lineup is hurt.

kitna was 20/24, thats a pretty effective passing game.

If I recall correctly, the Lions had a decent offense last year as well so I don't know if they are "much improved."

The Lions aren't that good. The Bears just aren't good either.

Bears were missing starting CB's Charles Tillman and Nathan Vasher, LB Lance Briggs, starting safety Adam Archuleta, safety Kevin Payne also got injured during the game, and thats of course in addition to the already missing and out for season Mike Brown and Dusty Dvoracek. And that's just on Defense!!!

For those reasons alone I don't think Lions are better than da bears. Bears were hurting on defense obviously but still managed to be winning 13-3 at the start of the 4th quarter, then they had a complete meltdown in that last quarter with some weird shit, like that onside kick attempt returned for a TD, the Greise INT returned for a TD, etc.

Most bizarre though was the play calling. Bears are a running team. Everyone knows this. Yet they ran 52 passing plays and only 22 running plays. Greise hasn't started a single game in over two years and on his debut have him throw 52 times??? WTF is that? Plus, it's not like they were losing the game, they were winning until the very end. Benson started the first half shitty but in the 2nd half he had 47 yards on 10 carries, thats 4.7 yards per carry. WHY NOT give him the ball more especially considering their winning?!?

I blame this loss 85% Ron Turner (offensive coordinator).
10% offensive line.
5% Brian Greise.

On a side note Devin Hester almost broke the NFL record with most return yards in a game. He had 316 total return yards, including a 97 yard TD kickoff return. Devin Hester has 9 TD's in the last two seasons, more than any other bear.

Lions offense is better. The line is a tad better. Calvin Johnson didn't play and that is a huge addition to the offense, and he's made it so much more explosive.

While the bears secondary was hurt, and that's the main reason for the Lions winning, as well, but they probably should have started Grossman since he has killed the Lions in the past.

Also the Lions have no secondary and the linebackers are weak. They remind me of the Bengals actually, as a unit.
