Lil Wayne arrested in New Orleans

At around 10:15 PM CST, Dwayne Carter "aka" Lil' Wayne was arrested on one count of second-degree aggravated assault, one count of disturbing the peace, and two counts for possession of a firearm.

According to an eyewitness the incident took place in the VIP lounge at Club Dream in downtown New Orleans. The eyewitness reports that an up and coming rapper performing that night who goes by the name of Lil' Dee, approached Lil' Wayne with an intent to start a fight.

The two exchanged words when Lil' Wayne got out of his lounge chair in VIP. According to the eyewitness then, Lil' Dee grappled Lil' Wayne's arm and turned him around.

When Wayne's bodyguard approached Dee, Wayne reportedly laughed it off and retorted, "What you gonna do to me uh, Im the fucking man of this city!" Wayne then continued heading out of the VIP area. Sources state that Lil' Dee grabbed Lil' Wayne once more and without a moments hesitation punched him in the face. Lil' Wayne was knocked down causing the room into a frenzy.

Jefferson and Orleans Parish Police Officers arrived on the scene as secuirity guards ushered patrons out of the area. There they arrested both men for aggravated assault and disturbing the peace.

Witnesses say officers found two unregistered pistol on Wayne and immediately arrested him.

DX Dirt: Lil Wayne Involved In Scuffle & Arrested?

There are conflicting reports coming from all over that Lil Wayne was arrested last night. None of these have been confirmed but with so many sources involved, one has to be curious as to what happened.

One of the sources (Uptown Media) claims that Wayne was arrested on one count of second degree aggravated assault, one count of disturbing the peace and two counts of possession of a firearm. Alleged eyewitnesses say the incident occurred at Club Dream in New Orleans where Weezy got into a physical altercation with a local artist by the name of Lil Dee.

“The two exchanged words and Lil' Wayne got out of his lounge chair and started to proceed out of VIP. The eyewitness then states that Lil' Dee grappled Lil' Wayne's arm and turned him around,” the source reveals. “Lil' Wayne's bodyguard then attempted to stop the young man, but the eyewitness says that Lil' Wayne just laughed and said quote unquote, 'What you gonna do to me uhhhhh Im the fucking man of this city!' Thats when Lil' Wayne pushed Lil' Dee and attempted to leave VIP again. The eyewitness then stated that Lil' Dee grabbed Lil' Wayne once more and without a moments hesitation punched him in the face. Lil' Wayne was knocked down and everyone in the section went crazy.”

Cops allegedly were called in and arrested both men for aggravated assault and disturbing the peace. Wayne was found with two unregistered handguns and was immediately handcuffed and taken to jail. A mugshot has been floating around the internet but it is unclear if this is an older mugshot taken from a previous arrest.

What makes the story even more hazy is that another source has said that the incident happened in Austin TX and not New Orleans.

A representative at Universal was unsure if anything transpired at press time and there has been no comments as of yet from Wayne’s camp.

Yeah the first Lil Dee is from the N.O. but yeah good chance it's a publicity stunt... looks fake, sounds fake... its the....

So assumin that this really happened....does that make this character a hater? or does it give him some cred 4 boppin on weezy?? As much as Wayne annoys me and Ive never dug the whole "Wayne era".....this makes this guy look like a straight hater.....Wayne is on top...and as much as I check 4 underground/unsigned artists....this dood is N.O body

If it weren't for Birdman, Wayne wouldn't be shit either, so there's not really room for basing that fight off of popularity.

lil wayne always sounds cocky as fuck in all his interviews and shit. he prolly acted like he was too cool and got stuck for it. maybe itll bring wayne a lil closer to reality.
