2 years is excessive, but some of y'all actin' all suprised that he got caught in the first place. Like the cops give a fuck that he's a rapper. LOL
If he wasn't a rapper and the same thing happened, would you have reacted the same?

What about him? You don't get special treatment cause you're a rapper. What makes you think the cops give a fuck that Lil Boosie's a rapper? The same goes for T.I. or any other rapper.

I mean it might add to his "street cred" but other than that, it probably doesn't do much for him.

Mark my words though: gun charges aren't no joke. Plax just got two years up in NY. Boosie gettin' two years down in LA. If that were me in either of those states, I'm looking at 5 minimum.

Go ahead, walk around NY or Louisiana with an unregistered hand gun, see if you only get two years.

In Michigan, its a 5 year felony.

i guess the homie had a record, gun laws in louisiana are real lax otherwise. it would be stupid to have a dirty gun out there if you can get one legit. Thats a bum deal though, i think its crazy people are doing that much time over something like a gun charge, you would get less time for worse shit. I know people who were basically career criminals who did that kind of time for basically stealing for a living. Getting high and carrying a weapon isn't a crime to me unless you are hurting someone while you are doing it

^ I agree. T.I. had an arsenal of unregistered/wiped weapons and ammunition. Now he's spending his days in Forrest City, Arkansas in a minimum security prison and receiving mad amounts of demo's and mixtapes from local rappers.

It's like his second home.

because TI made a deal with the cops.

1) crimestoppers video
2) streetcred.com (go read the old XXL with ti on the front, for papertrail) *which the police monitor*

the cops saw that he was in a position to influence the young, and said that theyd give him leeway if he did a few things in return.

and i didnt make that up, ti said it himselfin that xxl.

i wouldnt doubt more went on behind the scenes..not saying he snitched, im saying he stuck a deal.

If he doesn't fuck up he's only going to serve 1 year.

http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/60500697.html

Baton Rouge rapper Torrence “Lil Boosie’’ Hatch will serve at least one year in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to a third-offense marijuana possession charge.

“I’m ready to get this behind me,’’ the 26-year-old Hatch, who was scheduled to stand trial next week, told state District Judge Chip Moore.

An agreement between prosecutors and Hatch’s attorneys calls for Hatch to receive a 10-year sentence with all but the first two years suspended.

He must serve one of those years.

Hatch will be on active supervised probation for two to five years after he is released from prison...

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies seized a bag of marijuana, a cigar containing the drug, and a gun from a car driven by Hatch on Oct. 22.

Deputies testified at a hearing last month that they smelled the strong odor of marijuana when they pulled alongside Hatch’s car on the southbound Interstate 110 exit ramp at Government Street.

Hatch was charged with third-offense possession of marijuana, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, which carries a mandatory minimum five-year term.
