Good show.

I was thinking it would probably be like Sons of Anarchy with some fictitious situations n' what not, but it really wasn't. Seemed very believable, the 1st episode atleast. Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand and some off the wall unbelievable shit starts happening though.

Agreed. Seems like an all too common place a lot of older fighters find themselves in - out of the game, but running out of money, the temptation to step back in the ring for one last payday is right there and just to great to avoid. Plus they already touched a little on his medical condition, looks like he's showing early signs of Pugilistic Dementia after his brain scans.

I also liked how they concealed all the violence from the viewers until the last couple minutes of the show. They sort of hid his dark side from us, then at the end unleashed it all upon us which was cool.

This show has potential.

I read the main actor has been training at a real boxing gym with real boxers like john duddy, etc. and just had his first real fight the other week and won, which is also cool that he took his role so seriously that he would actually step in the ring for real and not just for the cameras.

yup the first episode was dope, the chevelle dude driving is bad. Definitely looking forward to this show and hopefully it doesn't turn into the sons of anarchy with all the soap opera bullshit.

I feel the same way about sons of anarchy. I watched the first season then my broad started watching it with me when the second season started. Now it's her favorite show and I didn't even watch but the first two episodes of season three and don't plan on ever watching the rest.

On topic I have not seen this show yet but will be downloading it soon and checking it out.

yeah same here, especially since none of my favorite shows are currently on like breaking bad, walking dead, etc.

TV networks don't give shows chances these days. In the old days, they used to give shows much more time to succeed and ratings would often pick up over time. For example "Cheers" had terrible ratings at first but eventually became one of the most popular shows ever. In today's world it would have been canceled immediately.

Honestly even if it did get renewed Ive speculated how far they could take. Off the top of my head, his dad dies, brother gets wacked (that is coming to him), maybe he retrains that kid that walked out after his 1st loss, but that could all have been just next season. 2-0 you probably have this more thought out...
