As far as I'm aware of I know Troll's into this stuff. I'm not, but That doesn't mean that I'm not intrigued to understand or learn. But I have one question for any one who can answer this, how is someone able to Levitate?

In order to levitate you must provide more lift than whatever drag is induced by gravity. And then keep your acceleration at such a constant that it cancels out any forces that act opposite to it, so as to stay afloat. I've only done this twice.

I used to work with a dude who went to live in Spain for a year. He is kinda of the camping, natural, almost hippie type of dude (he's a science teacher), and he left with only a months worth of money and planned on staying for at least a year. Well, dude ended up living with a bunch of monks for most of his time there. He said he learned a lot of shit and would do chores/tasks in order to pay for his living there. He swore to me that a couple of those dudes could levitate by "willing themselves" to do it. They would meditate and summon all their energy and who knows what kind of monkish force in order to levitate. You know I had to ask him if he could do it and he declined. He said that not only would it physically drain him, but that he didn't possess the clarity and concentration to make it happen. If you want to know more, I'll e-mail him and post the reply.

levitation is like telekenisis on the self. you're simply manipulating your own personal luminous energy field. most think it's only able to be done by monks who live in mountains and what not, but that is only because one must have a completely clear mind, absolute focus, a pure heart, and a certain degree of control over your own energy. all of these things take time and work to reach.

telekenisis, psychokenisis, and other similar techniques are all actions controlled by the psychic mind. the psychic mind is part of each and every one of us since birth, but we never have used it so it tends to be very weak. however, u cant bench press once and have big pecs. it takes time and dedication. daily meditation is also key into gaining the clarity necessary to accomplishing this.

No 'God Spot' in the Human Brain

The human brain does not contain a single "God spot" responsible for mystical and religious experiences, a new study finds.

Instead, the sense of union with God or something greater than the self often described by those who have undergone such experiences involves the recruitment and activation of a variety brain regions normally implicated in different functions such as self-consciousness, emotion and body representation.

The finding, detailed in the current issue of Neuroscience Letters, contradicts previous suggestions by other researchers that the there might be a specific region in the brain designed for communication with God.

What it means

"The main goal of the study was to identify the neural correlates of a mystical experience," said study leader Mario Beauregard of the University of Montreal in Canada. "This does not diminish the meaning and value of such an experience, and neither does it confirm or disconfirm the existence of God."

In the study, 15 cloistered Carmelite nuns, ranging in age from 23 to 64, had their brains scanned while asked to relive the most intense mystical experience they had ever had as members of the religious order.

The nuns were not asked to try and actually achieve a state of spiritual union with God during the experiment because, as the nuns put it, "God cannot be summoned at will."

Joy and love

Nevertheless, the researchers believe their method was justified because previous studies have shown that actors asked to enter a particular state activated the same brain regions as people actually experiencing those emotions.

As a control, the nuns were instructed to relive the most intense state of union with another human ever felt in their lives while in the Carmelite order.

The study found that mystical experiences activate more than a dozen different areas of the brain at once. One of the regions, called the caudate nucleus, has been implicated in positive emotions such as happiness, romantic love and maternal love.

The researchers speculate that activation of this brain region during mystical experiences is related to the feelings of joy and unconditional love the nuns described.
