This has always been a great idea, and has been attempted several times. I would love to see it actually come to fruition, hopefully egos can be set aside and people can try to come together.

On ANOTHER note..
.if anyone is interested, the COALITION im working with in the CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO, (which includes a number of notable community leaders of different ethnic backgrounds and Religions). Is Pushing for about 8,500 petition signatures of SAN FRANCISCO Residents by FEB 5.2008 to move a Initiative forward and have it presented before voters in June 2008.

The initiative is focusing on the city of San Francisco's "RE-DEVELOPMENT" motives and Forcing LENNAR corp (#1 home builders in the u.s) to provide affordable housing and other improvements in the city.

This issue has alot to do with how the city of San Francisco helped move a big percentage of African Americans out of the Western Addition and how they are continuing to push Latinos out of the Mission district, And minorities out of the bay veiw/hunters point area.

One of the areas where Lennar Corp is currently building, was hit by a City GANG INJUNCTION recently , (where members of the community where grouping up,organizing and protesting,>>The toxic chemical (asbestos) released by "re-development -construction crews" )near the naval shipyard in hunters point. Lennar Corp and the City of San Francisco is trying to up-root these low income neighborhoods and bring in New people and new housing. And "re-develop" the City. Historically san francisco-african americans got pushed to hunters point from the western addition. And now the city is continuing to push.

Alot more facts and points regarding this topic is available.
So if any of you is interested in something OTHER than "bay rap" and wants to help with this particular cause...Hit me up..

LET THE SHOW Begin

Holla at me SHOWTIME it can work but, we need power players to hold it down with their experience. We had a meeting about 30 days ago with these same ideas in OAKLAND with some Power movers. There was alot of great ideas we all need to be apart of this but, we need to focus on the end result not just the problems.

me personally...i want the bay to be consistent, i want the bay to be known for its talented artists that put out quality music not for an area thats oversaturated with artists that jump on a bandwagon of a so called "movement" ...i want the bay artists to get out of that " i gotta keep it street 24-7" mentality. if that means suit'n up and actin right at an awards show...then so be it. Show the rest of the country that we about this money too and not just jumpin on cars and swing'n it. I love the bay but theres really nothin out here that will get me to spend my money on a quality album. its been since a good 9-10 years since i've bought multiple bay albums in a year.
