Taken from a few posts I made in responses to threads made recently....
Wilt Chamberlain scored 100, David Thompson scored 73, David Robinson scored 71...Jordan's career high is 69. So does that mean all those players are better than Jordan too? Yall kill me thinking that a person is better than another because they scored more points as a career high.
Anybody can get a ring at a young age. All you have to do is be on the winning team, u dont even have to make an impact, just be on the team. Also...Difference is...Jordan led his team to those 6 rings. Kobe didnt lead his team to those rings, he had Shaq. Now Kobe is on his own, hell....he can barely lead his team to the playoffs, let alone 6 rings. Jordan could have between 8-10 rings if he wouldnt have retired from the Bulls neither time. Ima break it down to you why Kobe cant hold a torch to Jordan. MJ make could make players around him better while dominate the game scoring. Jordan was a far better defender, offensive player and all around better playe than Kobe is. Jordan is a five-time MVP and a six-time finals MVP, Kobe never been MVP for neither. Kobe will never do the things that Jordan did, face it.
If u wanna bring up scoring, this is only Kobe's second time averaging 30+ points per game. Jordan averaged more than 30+ points per game for at least 8 out of his 13 seasons in the NBA (15 including the 2 seasons with The Wizards). This is like Kobe's 10th season in the NBA and he's averaging 35.9 points per game. Jordan averaged 37.1 points per game in his 3rd season, and his team got to the playoffs. Then came back and averaged 35.0 points per game that next season and got his team to the playoffs again. So basically, all the things that Kobe is doing now...Jordan did it in his early days. Kobe isnt doing nothing that Jordan hasnt already done. Also, not to mention, the defense was a lot tougher back in Jordan's day than what it is today. You only have two great defensive teams in the NBA today....thats Detroit and San Antonio, thats it.
U wanna bring up 60+ point games? Jordan has 9 games where he scored 60 or more. U wanna bring up 50 point games? Jordan has 39 games where he's scored 50 or more. Kobe has 11. U wanna mention 40+ point games? Jordan has had 173 games in his career that he's scored between 40-49. Kobe isnt even over 50. Wanna mention 30+ point games? About 75% of Jordan's games were 30 points and above, thats why his career scoring average as a bull was 31.5 ppg (dropped to 30.1 when he went to the wizards). Kobe's career scoring average is 23.2. Jordan shoots 50% on his career, Kobe shoots 45%. They say Kobe's a better three point shooter, he may be, but...their career three point field goal percentages arent far from each other. Kobe's is 33.4% and Jordan's is 32.7%...with that said, Kobe isnt even that much of a better three point shooter than Jordan. Do I need to continue? Lets not mention how Jordan won the scoring title and defensive player of the year in the same season, AND his team got to the conference finals that season. Kobe hasnt even done half of what Jordan has, so yall can chill with saying that Kobe is better than Jordan.
Yall think its a joke? Check the career stats for yourselves...After reading those stats, feel free to shut the fuck up.
