I'm hella glad they made the playoff's. The biggest turn around in NBA history but I doubt he'll get rookie of the year.

carmelo deserves it the most but I think the right thing to do is make them co-ROY even though I hate shit like that. they both far exceeded expectations and you really couldnt ask for more from either of them.

I agree with CO-Rookie of the Year for both.

There's positives and negative surrounding both players.

Carmelo-tougher conference, tougher schedule, by far toughest division in NBA, made playoffs, but he has a much better surrounding cast.

LeBron-not much talent around him for support, but still was able to kick ass every game.

But if i had to pick one it would be Carmelo.

GO NUGZ!

CZAR,
YOU STRESSED, "Well see who gets it! Regardless james will have a far better career!!! GOT EM!!!"

DON'T MAKE ME FETCH THAT THREAD WHERE YOU WERE BETTIN' THAT THE NUggETS MIgHT NOT EVEN MAKE THE PLAY-OFFS. BUT IF I'M CORRECT MELO HAD SLIgHTLY BETTER AVERAgES(IN A COUPLE CATEgORIES) AS OF THE TIME BEFORE THEY PLAYED AND BEAT SACRAMENTO AND gOT A PLAY-OFF BERTH. WITH THOSE NUMBERS AND A PLAY-OFF BERTH, I DON'T SEE HOW CARMELO CAN'T gET ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

they are and will be co-mvps.....thats it....they both had stellar rookie seasons.....but both of them in very different situations (teamwise)....neither of them deserves it more than the other.....

^I BEg TO DIFFER. ONE HELPED HIS TEAM TO THE PLAYOFFS, AND BASKETBALL IS TEAM SPORT.
Indeed. And one also had a better team around him....LeBron would have done the same if he was in melo's shoes in denver.....and Melo wouldve done the same as lebron did with the cavs.....

their stats are nearly identical.....except James averages about 3 more assists than does melo....

as much as I want Mello to get it, I already know Lebron will win. Come on now, his stats are ridiculous and they have his ass on tv every damn day.

Carmelo Anthony: 21 PTS 6.1 REB 2.8 AST
LeBron James: 20.9 PTS 5.5 REB 5.9 AST

If anything, Lebrons got the edge in the statistical category with just about 3 more assists.....

And you cant even compare denvers squad this year with last years....its totally revamped and they added some nice new pieces....

WOW,
LEBRON PASSED MORE. IS THAT WHY HE AIN'T IN THE PLAYOFFS?

BORN SIN,
A 180 DEgREE TURNAROUND IN A YEAR IS NOT EASY. THAT WAS MY POINT. LOOK AT THE LAKERS. THEY REVAMPED DESPITE ALREADY HAVIN' RINgS AND THEY AIN'T AS gOOD.
