Man did yall see my boy shit on dem piston Nukka'z??? Time and time again i have to argue with folks about whos the LeBRON is doin shit Kobe will never do!! And that is take a team by himself to the finals and at the age of 22 and he is still gettin better while Kobe is at his peak and he is what he is!! LeBRON did that shit against a great defensive team in Detroit against a great defender in Prince and whoever else they tried to put on him!!! So dont come talkin about the eastern conference cause detroit year in year out is just as good as any west team!! LeBRON is 22 and is gonna run the NBA!! Kobe would only wish he could take a team as the main individual (without Shaq) and lead them to not only a playoff series win but to the NBA finals!! And oh yea Cleveland will get there trust me!!! The man is unselfish, gets the most out of those scrubs on his team and plays to win and has great success as the maarqee player!!! Now what!!! Got Em!!!
My main arguement is the surrounding cast; seriously, you take Larry Hughes, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Verejao, Daniel Gibson, Drew Gooden, Damon Jones, Donyel Marshall, Eric Snow...they're shitting all over the rest of the Lakers team, minus MAYBE Lamar Odom. The Lakers are horribly incomplete, with no low post presence, no point guard, no swing man...no nothing. The ONLY position they have that has ANY talent is at SG, with Kobe.
Odom is so inconsistant, and often injured...what a waste.
In regards to Lebron James, the only drawbacks I can say he has are few...but they do count. Freethrows...could use work. Defense is also not his strong point. And consistancy...that's the main thing I wish he would improve.
I give nothing but props to Lebron James...that kid is incredible. The Cavs made a great run, and hopefully will take this and learn from it, instead of being heartbroken and letting it derail what could be another great run next year.
IMO, Kobe is still the best/most talented player in the league. He can score on anyone. He can defend anyone (at his position). He can do everything, IMO. Sometimes, I feel he's still confused, though...He's been a hog with the ball all his career, and it's done well for him. YET he was always criticized for it. But when the team needed him to pass more, ie. last year, he did, and was criticized for that, too, with commentators asking why he was passing, because the team needed him to shoot to win the games.
Really, though...I don't know how you can suddenly crown Prince James (as Skip Bayless calls him...) the KING of the NBA, because he had 1 GOOD RUN...IMO, I think Allen Iverson had less talent around him when he got to the Finals against the Lakers, and he's not KING Iverson.
Either way...maybe Lebron will face Kobe more often, if somehow (I DOUBT IT) this trade with the Bulls goes through...
Bring on next season.
