lebron is a savage but he aint no kobe. kobe was better than lebron when he was lebron's age and hes better now so i say kobe is way better and the only reason i would want lebron on my team rather than kobe is because he's younger. if he wasnt then i'd choose kobe

Man did yall see my boy shit on dem piston Nukka'z??? Time and time again i have to argue with folks about whos the LeBRON is doin shit Kobe will never do!! And that is take a team by himself to the finals and at the age of 22 and he is still gettin better while Kobe is at his peak and he is what he is!! LeBRON did that shit against a great defensive team in Detroit against a great defender in Prince and whoever else they tried to put on him!!! So dont come talkin about the eastern conference cause detroit year in year out is just as good as any west team!! LeBRON is 22 and is gonna run the NBA!! Kobe would only wish he could take a team as the main individual (without Shaq) and lead them to not only a playoff series win but to the NBA finals!! And oh yea Cleveland will get there trust me!!! The man is unselfish, gets the most out of those scrubs on his team and plays to win and has great success as the maarqee player!!! Now what!!! Got Em!!!

My main arguement is the surrounding cast; seriously, you take Larry Hughes, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Verejao, Daniel Gibson, Drew Gooden, Damon Jones, Donyel Marshall, Eric Snow...they're shitting all over the rest of the Lakers team, minus MAYBE Lamar Odom. The Lakers are horribly incomplete, with no low post presence, no point guard, no swing man...no nothing. The ONLY position they have that has ANY talent is at SG, with Kobe.

Odom is so inconsistant, and often injured...what a waste.

In regards to Lebron James, the only drawbacks I can say he has are few...but they do count. Freethrows...could use work. Defense is also not his strong point. And consistancy...that's the main thing I wish he would improve.

I give nothing but props to Lebron James...that kid is incredible. The Cavs made a great run, and hopefully will take this and learn from it, instead of being heartbroken and letting it derail what could be another great run next year.

IMO, Kobe is still the best/most talented player in the league. He can score on anyone. He can defend anyone (at his position). He can do everything, IMO. Sometimes, I feel he's still confused, though...He's been a hog with the ball all his career, and it's done well for him. YET he was always criticized for it. But when the team needed him to pass more, ie. last year, he did, and was criticized for that, too, with commentators asking why he was passing, because the team needed him to shoot to win the games.

Really, though...I don't know how you can suddenly crown Prince James (as Skip Bayless calls him...) the KING of the NBA, because he had 1 GOOD RUN...IMO, I think Allen Iverson had less talent around him when he got to the Finals against the Lakers, and he's not KING Iverson.

Either way...maybe Lebron will face Kobe more often, if somehow (I DOUBT IT) this trade with the Bulls goes through...

Bring on next season.

Are people forgetting that LeBron is ONLY 22??? Jesus Christ...

And by the way, Kobe won al them rings WITH Shaq...Kobe has done absoutely NOTHING without Shaq...YOU do the math.
This point has been made twice before in this thread and in other threads, so lets get this done NOW.

What are you people really saying? That unless you got MJ on your team, YOU NEED A BIG MAN (and some role players) TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP?

You're not really implying that Shaq was it and did it by himself, right? Because if that was the case, he woulda one it in Orlando with Penny, right?

And, what exactly did Shaq do in Miami? Did he win that one too? Or was Dwayne Wade the motherfucking man and did that shit practically by himself?

Who do you think kept the game on lock when that big palooka couldn't make a free throw in the last 3 minutes of the game? Who brought them back from 16 points down against Portland in 2000 to keep them the playoffs?

Come on, to make it sound like Kobe had very little to do with winning the 3 rings is absolutely ridiculous, and when we say he's got 3 rings and so-and-so doesn't - it's legit, because he earned them - so just fucking accept it.

My point is, Kobe is not a LEADER...just because he can score 80 points in a game dont mean shit. At least MJ made his NAMELESS teamates better.

Kobe is the best one-on-one player inthe league without a doubt...but this is a TEAM SPORT. Like i said, YOU do the math.

Horry earned his 7 rings. And as far as his NBA career goes toward achieving the most important goal, he has done a better job then Kobe. However, you know he is not a better overall player. Rings can settle it when there are two close players, but saying Devean George is better than Lebron is just plain dumb.

Yall some fools!! Obviously yall didnt read my opening statement, nor my finals predictions!! LeBron is the best player in the NBA and hes only 22!! he did what no other has and thats take a team to the NBA finals by hisself!! Ofcourse he wasnt gonna come close to beaten the Spurs and I knew that> See I aint no biased fan I pick real shit and I knew they wouldnt beat the best team in the NBA since the Jordan era!! But regardless LeBRON is better than Kobe and is a better leader and way unselfish!! he proved that!! Deal with it!! And let me know when Kobe gets outta the 1st round since the post Shaq era!! Got Em!!!

LeBron's unselfishness is what got them swept by the Spurs! He was too unselfish is you ask me. LeBron is not the best player in the NBA. If he was the best player in the NBA he wouldn't have let his team get swept like that. You can call Kobe a ball hog all you want but there is no way he would have let his team get swept in the NBA Finals like that. LeBron is a good player but he doesn't have what Jordan and Kobe had/has. The best player in the NBA would go to either Kobe, Steve Nash or Tim Duncan. I agree with all of Redrum's points.

Hahahahahahahaah!!! Ofcourse wouldnt let his team get swepted in the finals..................thats because he didnt even sniff a glimpse of the finals!!! hahahah what a invalid assumption because he cant even get out of the first round and to say he wouldnt get swepted against the Spurs is funny because Im sure they wouldve but regardless he wasnt good enough to win a series let alone stop his team from bein swept in the finals!! Funny shit!!! Got Em!!!!
