All I remember is my neighbor running to our house and telling us to watch the news. I had a friend that jacked some shit from a store, but nothing else besides that..

At the time I lived in Riverside, which is about an hour east of LA, and was about 11 years old. My little league baseball game was cancelled that day because there was gun shots at the park. So I just went home and watched it on TV.

I was in the san fernando valley when it happened. I remember the curfew that the city put on la county (including sfv), that's about it.

so what happened during the riots? i heard inconsistent stories. some people say that peeps were venting their anger and it was really a politically motivated riot. others say it was just looting for the fuck of it and motherfuckers even came to LA for the explicit reason of looting and getting some free shit....

i also heard that they had the national guard patrol beverly hills and other well-off areas in order to protect rich folks' interests.

i watched a documentry on it, it was pretty self exsplanitory first that lady got off on probation for killing that lil girl in her store and then the cops who beat rodney king got off, it was just rage and it came out of the city at once. Dont get me wrong, there were people everywhere with trucks full of shit from stores.. I wish i were there ha

I was stationed in Quantico, VA. at the time and just rolled into the mess hall from comp class. As I walked up to our usual table with my hot dogs and Coke, all these fu's turned to look at me like, "WTF is goin on dude?" I was like "What?" Then they all started talking at once and pointing to the big screen tv. Shit was hectic man. I had forgot I was the only one from Cali damn near in the whole school. So they was all like what's up with your state fu? Shit was goin down. I was 19 years old at the time.

I was in Covina where i am now, i just watched the news and buildings were on fire. My mother wouldn't let me go outside at certain points. I think i was 9 or 10

I was there. That shit was no joke. They had a city wide curfew. If you got caught outside afterdark you were going to jail. The cops were straight gettin blasted on. Every time they would hit our projects theyd get lit up. Yeah people were heading downtown just to loot. They city was like a ghost town as soon as the sun went down. The police were acting like lil bitches all scared and shit. Helping people pick up stolen shit they had dropped. It showed on tv this dude droppin a tv off a shopping cart and the police officer helped him pick it up and put it back in the cart. Shit was hilarious. If you were'nt there you missed out on part of history.............For one night we ruled the steets........

I WAS IN MY LATER TEENS, I FORGET THE EXACT AGE, I THINK 16 OR 17...DAMN THAT WAS CRAZY.

That ruined the pavilion till this day. That sport shop got straight robbed aswell as the Musicland (I think that was the name of the music store there) Ever since then the Pavilion has sucked..

Well seeing as I live in Sydney I was watching it on TV, I can remember laughing for about 2 weeks straight at looters and this one guy got ripped out of hius truck and was on the ground then all of a sudden you see some guy run past and give him a kick hahaha funny shit.
