It's only obvious!! Plus, nobody wants to fuck with Tha Row anymore because of the background. Interscope ain't towin' em along, nobody major really wants to put out Death Row albums...
And people go say Dre is a bitch, Dre is this, Dre is that...when in reality if it wasn't for DRE, half these muthafuckaz wouldn't even be here rappin like they do. Dre is the MASTERMIND behind the MOST SUCCESSFUL acts in Hip Hop History, ain't no doubt about it.
I agree. I don't necessarily like some of Dre's newer beats as much as the older ones, but that's just my opinion. Obviously, the formula works--otherwise, Eminem, 50 Cent and whoever else wouldn't be doing as well as they are. But yeah, about Death Row, who wants to work with a company where the CEO's idea of settling problems is beating people up and doing stupid shit like hitting an engineer for rewinding a tape too far back? And this bullshit of calling his ex-collegues (like Dre, Snoop, etc.) "gay" and "bitches" because they dared to leave Death Row and have success on their own--what the fuck? In the real world, if an employee quits working for this-or-that company, that's it. They just quit, and the boss hires someone else. The boss doesn't conduct a smear campaign against the employee for quitting...
When asked about Suge, RBX once said something to the effect of: "if you're eighteen and still acting like you're thirteen, that's only natural. But if you're in your 'twenties or 'thirties and still have this 'beating people up' mentality, you might be mentally retarded. Niggas need to grow the fuck up." Too bad for Kurupt--he's still a dope lyricist when he wants to be, and I was hoping for some new shit from him...
PEACE!
