After dodging 4 "alleged" felony charges back in 2005 and a back injury that has nearly disabled him for the past year and a half, Kung Fu Vampire is back with a new album, new video, a super group of professional musicians and a fleet of super producers and guest appearances that could make even the biggest Platinum selling Artist jealous.

Kung Fu is no stranger to success winning best band in silicon valley 3 years in a row and in 2009 as runner up, with sold out shows, frequent trips to the Playboy Mansion and traveling to Vegas for red carpet events. This is an underground artist with an over the top approach, with one of the most unique and captivating live shows ever displayed by a hip hop artist and even being credited with starting the genre Trip Hop with friends from his early 90's group LSP. Kung Fu Vampire has collaborated w/ Spice 1, Cougnut, Dem Hoodstarz, Z Man, San Quinn, Assassin and so much more over the past 15 years and recorded in early albums in the infamous Black Market Records Recording Studio along side such artists as Brotha Lynch. KFV has blessed the stages with the likes of Kool Keith, Planet Asia, DJ Rap, Digital Underground, KRS 1, Andre Nikatina, Esham, Natas, Anybody Killa, Hieroglyphics, Alcoholics, Naughty By Nature, Papa Roach, Violent Femmes and more.

2009 marks the ten year anniversary of Kung Fu Vampire the Musical artist but of course the entity has been around much much longer. Recently striking a record deal and with many more on the table as well as being fresh off of the Murder After Midnight US Tour with the most influential Artists in Horrorcore "Mars". What's next for KFV could only be explained best by his fans and peers "Kung Fu Vampire is a subculture! something that commands respect and honor, a dark force that can bring light even to the most wicked soul".

In 2010 it is predicted that Kung Fu Vampire will be the single biggest name in the Horrorcore Genre alongside new partner in grime Mars of Mad Insanity Records.

On Friday November 13th 2009 you will get the chance to see this band in action on there home turf for the 6th Annual Friday The 13th Masquerade Party at The Blank Club in San Jose, CA. There will be huge give away for best mask, best costume and best Kung Fu Vampire look a like.

Rumor has it that this is a Video Release Party for the hit song "iCount" written & produced by Kung Fu Vampire.

Unless someone means "trip-hop" in a different way than the rest of the world does....

edit: lol, come on, that's just preposterous. I googled "lsp" and came up with dude's biography from 2001:

LSP (ALMIND) a.k.a. The KungFu Vampire Last Modified On: 6/11/2001

Bio:

LSP (ALMIND) a.k.a. The KungFU Vampire is the future of Hip-hop/Electronica/Trip-hop. Bugged out style, light years ahead of its time...(Lyrical, and production-wise) with live instruments combined with electronic keys and synths creating a bizzare collaborative genre with basic old-school Hip-hop (underground and a touch of gangsta) with poetic verses.

so dude "started trip-hop" but didnt put out an album until 1998, 7 years after what is considered the first trip-hop album came out on a different continent? wow, that is impressive.

I listened to dudes music and its not really my thing, and i didn't hear much trip-hop in there at all. But really man shit is almost insulting, that would be like, uh, Ap-9 of the Mob Figaz putting out a press release that said he is credited with starting gangster rap. Actually, maybe more like AP-9 saying he started Drum n' Bass, lol Anyways, carry on.

To clarify my dudes position on "trip hop" His 1st CD is 1998, his first cassette is released 1991. In 1992 a cd called "Trip Hop Test" came out, (a cheesy early trip hop mix tape/cd) LSP was featured on it. They use to call it Psych. rap. (psychedelic rap) This is a press release that someone wrote about KFV, not everything is clearly worded enough to make sense when people pick and pull what they want to create an article or press release. I don't think KFV thinks he started that genre, but he def. was one of the pioneers releasing tracks from 1989 on. Kung Fu Vampire started and is trying to push the Genre "Gothic Hip Hop".
Oh word? Just out of curiousity why isnt anyone named "LSP" listed anywhere on the track list?

The Trip Hop Test Vol 1:
http://www.amazon.com/Trip-Hop-Test-Vol/dp/B000005QAF

The Trip Hop Test Vol 2:
http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Trip-Hop-Test-Part-Two/release/48328

The Trip Hop Test Vol 3:
http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Trip-Hop-Test-Part-Three/release/228909?ev=rr

These comps were released 1995-1996 and I dont see anybody named "LSP" on there.

I'm not trying to be a dick here or some kind of cyber-slueth calling anyone out, this is just based off of using Teh Google for 60 seconds. Because you are making some big claims that dont pass the smell test homie.

I wouldnt dream of it Den, I heard KFV invented the genre of ska music in 1983 when it was known as "psycho-reggae", was featured on the Poetic Justice Soundrack in 1998 as part of the group KMFDM. And then when he was recording as RPGC was a pioneer of Corrido music during the entire early 1890s but he only put out maxi-cassette singles and no recording survives. Shit, what is there to dispute on that resume? dude's a legend.
