Report: Lakers Agreed To Bryant Deal
According to radio station 1270 AM in Detroit, the Lakers and Pistons came to an agreement to trade Bryant to the Pistons.

However, Bryant used his no-trade clause to veto the trade.

The report claims the deal was completed late Tuesday night.

Detroit would have sent Tayshaun Prince, Rip Hamilton, Amir Johnson and a first round pick to the Lakers.

^ u think so???

so the starting line up for pistons would be..

chauncy-kobe-?-rasheed?-mcdyess?

That right there alone makes Detroit one of the elite teams in the east. Kobe wants to be on a team thats competing for the championships right? Well he has no chance in LA and going to Detroit would have been a much better position than that in Chicago, which he never complained about.

I'm still not even sure that this story is true. As of last night, no one aside from that Detroit radio station confirmed the story.

And, no, isn't a 2 team trade that's gonna satisfy Kobe. The team in question would have to give up too much to have a competitive team. It would have to be a 3 way deal. at least.

I saw it on ESPN earlier today, basically everyone was calling a dumb ass for saying no and confused as to what exactly wants.

So I think it's true.

While they do need to get some better players around him, I don't completely accept that his current team is garbage.

They are 4-3, yet they have only played one team that's less than .500

They are one player away from being serious contenders.

Detroit starting lineup would've probably been:

Chauncey, Rodney Stuckey, Kobe Bryant, Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess...

Bench: Jason Maxiell, Flip Murray, Aaron Afflalo, Nazr Muhammed
