have you seen the docuseries mtv news now with that star basketball player who tested and knew he had HIV had sex with girls without telling them thus infecting them with the virus?

that made me sick,he got 40 days in jail, probation and community service on top of speaking out about HIV and AIDS.

i don't know whut he deserved for doing that but anyway he was missing for 6 hours and violated his probation and sent to prison for 4 years.

so he got his i guess.

whut do you think about all this?

Al-Kaholik said:
In my opinion knowingly having aids and spreading it should be treated as a murder charge, doing it to multiple people should be a multiple murder charge.
yes agreed, only i would take it a little farther and if the individual was found as knowingly spreading AIDS and infected some1 i would charge them with capital murder eligable for the death penalty because that is what he/she is doing to all the partners (killing them slowly) by knowingly spreading this disease

I saw that shit on TV. They said the reason he got a light sentence was he didnt fully understand that he had it and could spread it. Dont know if thats true but thats the reason they gave for a light sentence.

my friends uncle is (or was) gay and he once met the older rich dude at a bar and went to his house the same night he met him and they had sex. after they finished that dude told him you're gonna die soon cuz i have aids. at first he thought the guy was playing, but he is now dead and obviously wasn't.

it's too bad....i think that is horrible but at the same time if you sleep with somebody, you knowingly put your health in jeopardy every time. can't blame anyone but yourself for not using a condom or abstaining in general. we're all in charge of keeping our own bodies healthy...can't put the blame on someone else for that.

guillotine he knew he had hiv and was tested and was being treated by doctors.it was sum people from the clinic checking up on him with a visit to his home and caught him red handed boxers at the door and when he would'nt let them inside a girl snuck out and they caught her thats whut caused all the controversy.it blew the lid off that fucker.

well if he didn't know he had it or didn't get found out then people would be walking around thinking they were exempt and untouchable against this disease. since he did, of course that is raunchy and horrible, but ultimately it's everyone's own damn fault if they catch it....they shouldn't be fuckin like that. folks need to own up to shit and accept responsibility for their actions. people are not victims...cause and effect....actions reap consequences.....and sometimes they really suck.

True....your body is not someone else's responsibility. You wouldn't leave 10,000 dollars lying in the street and expect it to be there an hour later....you'd put it in the bank or hide it in your house somewhere. But folks leave themselves out there....open to AIDS every time they fuck without thinking twice. I think our priorities are fucked up. I'm no exception....I've made my fair share of mistakes, so don't think I'm preaching here. I'm just sayin' in 2003, all we have is ourselves to be accountable for, and blaming other people for our shit 24/7 is not a proactive or realistic way to live.

These chicks should not have been fuckin in the first place, especially without protection....so what they reap, they sow. Same the other way around. It's too bad that happend, but that is the way I look at it.

Tooper I must have missed that part I didnt see the whole thing, but I thaught the whole point of a light sentence was because he was either slow or just didnt understand. If you saw the whole thing what am I missing here? They just gave him a light sentence for nothing? If so thats fucked up.

well the judge admitted to being swayed by a letter from the girl who contracted the virus from the basketball player.she said it was'nt his fault and she is in luv with him.i guess she said she should have known better not sure but the judge saw her letter and thought about it.

so the light sentance kinda came into play when the judge thought that he could go out and speak and get people to wisen up i think.have people think about protecting themselves.

plus he was young too.

he kept it a secret when everyone knew him.and young people are gonna get their emotions running high and do whut they do.

i dunno.

he fucked up when he did'nt live up to his responsibility when the clinic was keeping up on him checking up and he was missing for a while (6 hours) god knows whut he was doing but the judge did'nt like that.probation is probation and it was part of his life now but he chose to be iresponsible.so he got fucked with 4 years in the pen.

And another thing, this AIDS epidemic teaches us that sex should be done within wedlock. People who have sex outside of wedlock have illegitimate children, STD's, etc…
