It's about 7 percent, there were 1.8 million people in King County in 2004 estimated by the Census bureau.

In the Seattle Metro area (including Pierce & Snohomish Counties & Bremerton as well), the total population was 3.5 million, good for the 13th largest city in the US, 3rd largest out west behind LA & the Bay.

This is good news, the more people the more important we will be, the greater likelihood one of our beloved rappers might actually blow.

Traffic is a bitch, and I swear people can't fucking drive. I was on I-5 and 405 last week and I saw about 10 accidents waiting to happen.

Well considering the fact that Seattle had the honor a couple years back of being named the 2nd worst traffic in the nation behind NY...you do the math. And yes...I have been to the Bay a couple times and driven through there.

The UW?? It's fucked during rush hour....otherwise it's not so bad. Parking is the REAL problem around the UW!

I can speak from experience......Seattle has bigger traffic issues and challneges than Oakland and San Francisco.....I have never been in tarffic as cold as 520 on a Friday at 5:00 or bascially any other day.....

I got from Novato to the Oakland airport on a Friday at rush hour traffic in about 45 minutes which is about the same distance from Marysville to Sea- tac airport...Marysville to Sea tac on Friday at 5:00 would take you about 2 hours to crawl through that.....

The Bay and Seattle have alot in common though....the Puget Sound is the second coming.....Oakland and Tacoma look very similiar driving into the cities....San Francisco looks just like Portland when your walking around the city only with a Seattle feel......there is parts of Belltown and Capital Hill that look just like nob hill.....you wouldn't know the difference.....Anyways yall....

thanks for the info...so where's a good neighborhood to stay if you want to minimize the commute time to uw? is it possible to find a route to uw that goes against the flow of traffic if ya know what i mean? bay area example: 80 east in the morning and 80 west in the evening isnt too bad, but the opposite (west morning, east evening) is a bitch
