just to let some folks know, that footage was pre-pre-alpha, meaning that wasnt even close to being the real game, the real game is going to look better then that.

The E3 footage from 2005 was pre rendered, the crap they showed this year doesn't even come close to the same level as that, and the finished product won't either.

It will look slightly better than Gears of war, a first gen 360 game. Big deal.

shit looks pretty good graphicly, but the enviroment's are super dark. levels didnt look that big, it looked like when the player was standing on the bridge looking down at the ground that the levels seemed small but filled with detail. it'll probably be a good game but it wont come close to halo 3. halo 3 is popular becuase it created a fantasy world with bright colors and aliens enemies with human like emotions. well have to wait and see on killzone 2 but right now the graphics are on par, well see about the real gameplay, instead of a montage of shooting in one level.

Well that's completely personal preference. I really never could get into Halo (I did try to like the game) because of the facts you mentioned (bright colors, fantasy word settings, etc.). This is probably why I've always enjoyed WWII games more than Halo type games.

From what the previews show, Killzone 2 looks to be a little more realistic, especially the blood. But again, it's completely personal preference.

yeah, i feel you but a fantasy inspirsed FPS will appeal to more people then a dark, sinister, realistic FPS. i guess it just depends on how well they are done but dont be expecting a lot of younger people to go out and get killzone 2. killzone 2 seems more for adults while halo 3 seems like its for everyone.

Fantasy certainly may appeal to more people, but my point was that it's personal preference. In that sense, saying one is better over the other cannot be true.

Number of sales also doesn't prove anything either (think Brotha Lynch Hung vs. MC Hammer, or BMW vs Honda). I'm not saying Halo is MC Hammer & Lynch is Killzone either, just trying to show my point.

I do see what you're saying though, and I'm not argueing anything other than the fact that it's personal preference.

"Dark, sinister, realistic FPS" is exactly the type of game I want to play! Plus, I'm an adult too so I tend to like more adult oriented shit (like naked bitches, beer, dark/sinister games, blood, abortions, etc.)
