Yesterday, I have my students working on this worksheet about capitalizing days, months, and holidays. At the bottom of the page, they have five holidays listed and they have to write a sentence for each one. One of the holidays is Valentine's Day. So the sentence one of my students wrote was this:
We make love on Valentine's Day.
It was very difficult not to burst out laughing hysterically. He's a pretty innocent child, so I don't think he knows what he wrote. But it's still a good sentence with correct grammar.
