I got writers from XXL, and Jet magazine hooking up stories. The unique thing about this magazine is that all questions are being done by kids ages 7-17 1st issue also features Mistah Fab,Rick Rock,NFL star Adrian Peterson, and others free magazine going to schools all over the bay as well as Rasputins and other bay area hip hop retail stores. Some of the sections include Ask E-40,Going 8 bars with Mistah Fab, In The Lab With Rick Rock,If Martin Luther King Was Still Alive,Fitness With Mugzi,Kids Movie Reviews, and a 2 page kids activity section with word seaches, cross word puzzles,Kids Fashion, and more. This is kinda like the hip hop version of The Weekley Reader,or Time Magazine For Kids as soon as we finish it I will shoot some copies to yall,a lot on the table for 2008 The kids cd drops All Rap Aint Bad 2008,I'm just waiting for the video before I make my next move.

That's koo, but I can't wait to hear the ignorant backlash against a project like this. "Rap is the devil"..."Stop exposing our kids to this nonsense" "Will somebody please think of the children?"etc., & so on. Kontac, we need to keep kids, especially young black & latinos, interested in school, and this is a great way of doin' it. Props

Kontact how do you feel about exposing the children at the school you teach at to bay rap? When kids in other communitys would never get a opportunity like that.

When you keep sayin"its for the kids" how are they directly benefiting from a " stay in school" single & video?are they getting the message in the music or are they just fond of rappers coming to their elementary school for rap shows and music videos?

Im askin cause i been to your elementary school durring one of your events and seen the whole thing up close with no cameras etc.And i feel what your trying to do. But at the end of the day I would not introduce Bay rap to My children or family who are under 13.If you ask me the persons benefiting from this would be the artist and producers of the music and how it looks on their production catalog...rather then kids who get a cd single about "stayin in school".

Its ironic...cause i remember my elementray teachers pumpin "stay in school" and "say no to drugs" in the late 80's early 90's...

As far as the single goes all money made from that went to schools all over the bay area a little history a few years ago I dropped a project called Learning In Motion to raise money for different things our school needed it was a success I was at a school event a parent said my kid likes E-40,Keak Da Sneak but I don't like the bad words it would be cool if they could do a clean song also with 47% of all black and latinos not finishing high school is a problem all the artists on the song have kids and they know how it is in the innercities so it was a must no one wanted money or anything Jacka,Mac n Ak,Battle Loco,Hoodstarz,Rick Rock Erase-E and others have been to my school for other events not even rap stuff but I've seen Scoot Dogg read to 1st graders Battle Loco talking to kids about staying away from gangs before this song ever was even thought of. As for the video people from Google heard about the song and wanted to help so they made it happen the video stars are the kids who are in 98% of it,this project is real positive and came from the heart they did All In The Same Gang, but never have they touched the schools to this level and me being a artist and teacher it only made since this song is for kids of all ages some of these kids in the bay listen to the artists more then there own parents with all the shootings and things going on in the country the kids need to hear this,if the kids look up to a Keak Da Sneak and for just at least one song they soaking staying in school that's all that matters ...

Kontac you already know it's all respect homie

dont' let this dude come in here and try to stir some stuff up, you don't have to prove your point to him, your point is proven every day through what you are doing for the kids and the community all around you

I'mma leave this alone out of respect for Kontac because I truly respect what he is doing and am very proud to have been a part of it

and if you really did have legit questions and weren't trying to start shit with your comments, cool i got no problem with that

it looked like you were trying to question his motives and what the outcomes would be of his community work

where as something positive shouldn't be questioned it should just be praised

I ALSO AGREE WITH DJSINCERE, HE ASKED A VALED QUESTION. I PERSONALY THINK THAT HAVING BAY AREA RAPPERS IS A TOTALLY WRONG MESSAGE FOR THE KIDS, WHAT RTHEY GONNA TEACH THEM? THE KIDS WILL SEE NOTHING BUT THERE TATTOES THERE EXAGERATED SAGGING PANTS AND CRIMINAL LOOK, MY BROTHER IS 12 AND LISINS TO BAY AREA RAP AND HE KNOWS EVEYTHING FROM HOES TO EXTACY TO NOT HAVING RESPECT AT ALL THATS WHAT RAP IS, KIDS SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE MORE POSITIVE COME AND TEACH THEM LESSONS ON LIFE, NOT SOME BAY AREA RAPPERS THAT WILL TELL THESE KIDS ONE THING AND THEN GO OUT AND TALK ABOUT DISRESPECTING WOMEN USING DRUGS AND DOING CRAZY THINGS IN THERE ALBUMS WICH KIDS WILL EVENTUALLY LISIN TOO AND SAY"HEY DIDINT HE JUST COME TO MY SCHOOL"? HE TALKING ABOUT KILLING AND FUCKING HOES?
