alot of people say mexicans just cant rap, at all.

I bought this album when I was 11 years old.

I have yet to hear too many latin rappers out of southern california top this album. I *STILL* play the cassette. Unlike alot of people, I give this dude props for trying to bring black and brown together, and create some sort of peace if possible in LA.

Every song on this album is tight.
the beats are still fresh to this day, they had scratches on it, some actual hip hop shit.

Frost really had skills on the mic.

I don't know what the fuck was up with kid frost on yukmouths 'united ghettos of america" in blackface and a afro, but...whatever.

album is still a bonafide classic.
anyone else who used to bump this or still does?

are there any other early 90's to late 80's latin rap i should look out for on the same old school mc'ing tip as this? im not really interested in the newer stuff.

besides mellow man ace and kurious jorge btw...ive got most of their older shit.

and please man...leave the norteno shittalk or the 'kid frost got jumped in front of the taco shop" out of this...i just wanna have a discussion about the album without this turning into a god damn war.

listen to proper dos "mexican power" i think it came out in 1992, i think its even better than kid frost's album. it has scratching and old school beats, some real hip hop similar to ice cube around the same time. the second album "we're at it again" is also good.

then there's also delinquent habits, their first album came out about '95

Personally, I liked the "Latin Alliance" album a lot more than Frost's first album. It came out in 1991 and included Frost, A.L.T., Markski, Mellow Man Ace, Rayski, MC Scoop, Lyrical Engineer, Hip Hop Astronaut, The Lyrical Latin, etc. It was produced by Tony G., Will Roc, Frost, Ralph Rivers, Todd Alexander and The Baker Boyz.

My favorite cut on the album was "Latinos Unidos", because it contained samples from 7 different songs and had about a dozen different rappers from several backgrounds. It sounded tight with a "One Way" beat that switched to "The Average White Band" to "Herbie Hancock" to "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" and so on......

It also had the popular tracks like "Lowrider" and "Know What I'm Saying?" which they both had videos for them.

Funkdoobiest have lyrics for days, its on a different tip then that Southern Caliness, but D.J Muggs, Ralph M., can't go wrong wit that.

Also, Deuce Mob from Denver-their first album Going Solo has Some cuts on there.

Frost has one of the tightest voices/delivery in Rap history though to me.

that's what id like to know. what the fuck was up with that shit. that shit offended me and im not black.
im still confused about that shit...i just dont get what he was trying to say with that..much less why yuk let him do it..

if you listren to frosts album he was all about black/brown unity so i didnt even get that...was he saying mexican rappers are acting black, or was he saying black rappers are clowns and jiggaboos?
