He was tired of playing with Westbrook. Westbrook is a lose cannon, an alpha male. Durant is a low key and a mama's boy. Dude just wanted to play ball in a system without worried about Westbrook's mood swings. Just from my observation. I knew one or the other would leave. Thought it would be Westbrook.

Like :ab: @:ab: alluded to earlier, why should Durant or any player be loyal to a team? Its all a business. If Durant was injury prone and or would be a valuable trading piece, he'd probably be gone. Me personally I have no emotional ties nor investment in grown men bouncing a basketball. Its all entertainment to me. My outlook on Durant and Lebron, are two black men positioning themselves to decide their own destinies.
exactly to the bolded, on point

Pat prolly knew way in advance when Bron Bron went full blown pretentious asshole with this statement

In any case, KD is not obliged to anything if it isn't under contract. That's the same for everyone, freedom of choice, even Bron. The only difference with Bron is that he talked a big game with fake promises etc. KD merely moved on to a new team by keeping his mouth shut.
kd was just as fake, sayin he loved playin wit russ and expected to play in okc his entire career .. then bounced to the rival. smh.

not even.....when Lebron joined forces with bosh and wade to form a superteam because he couldn't compete, that was weak too. but this is worse, because he left his team to join the team that beat him. a team that doesn't even need him to contend.... how is that not weak? I see some of yalls true colors, we lacking solid folks on this forum. so if u was in a gang and a rival gang was bigger and stronger, u'd leave your gang to join the rival gang? same principle. beta male mentality.
Bruh.. lets say the company you work for ain't doing shit except paying you a steady paycheck but the team around you is lack luster, the culture sucks, its not really team work.. you and another guy on you sales team carry the rest of the team but you never hit those targets at the end of the year. Next year you get hit up by recruiters from other companies, better position, more opportunities, better cities, better compensation... you gonna stay at the same company? If you do... you're an idiot. You think OKC would be loyal to KD if someone offered them a nice package for him? You fail to see this is a business! not a gang. Gangs don't offer pension, benefits, or good pay... shit nothing positive about gangs, period.

I remember plays would be like Warriors? hell naw I don't wanna go to Oakland. Now it's a destination... players are taking PAYCUTS to come here. You know how dope that is? I watched this team day in and day out win some games but a good season was to just have over 30 wins a season, then we made the playoffs for the first time in a longggg time with Don Nelson, with a squad that had Stephen Jackson, Monta, Matt Barnes, Boom Dizzle, JRich, Biedrins, Azubuike etc.. this team wasnt stacked but man they played hard. To upset the 1st seed too?? That shit was big.

I cant afford to go to games anymore but I became a fan of this team way before they were good and I believed one day they would get their shit together, even if their shitty ass owner did everything to destroy the team. To land KD was HUGE, he saw what outsiders dont see. They call the Warriors fans bandwagon but boyyyy look up that attendance record back in the 2000's that shit was packed win or lose. But yeah we're all bandwagon fans right? What I call bandwagon is people who root for teams like the Lakers and sit courtside just because its the thing to do when you got $$$ but you're from fuckin Iowa or South Dakota or some team with no NBA team but you moved to LA because you do movies. I work in tech and I see some bandwagon Cleveland or Lakers or Boston fans, and yes even some Warriors fans but these fans actually know a thing or two about rotations, screens, etc.

first of all, thats not the same, because Durant already had a team capable of winning it all, hence the 3-1 series lead over the warriors

and second of all, he actually left money on the table to sign with gsw.

so neither circumstance fits your analogy g.
