They realllly misused Jardine... and it kinda pissed me off... yeaa jardine dropped some fights but at least he always went out swingin.. i never seen Jardine in a boring fight in the ufc. he beats chuck... beats forrest. no title shot... shogun comes in the ufc. gets choked out by forrest.. looks like shit in the mark coleman fight.. ko's an already battered beaten on chuck.. and gets a title shot. yea he proved himself in the title match.. but he shoulda had to prove himself by facing more of the LHW guys... its allll a fuckin name game i swear.

well obviously it's a name game but when he beat forrest forrest didnt really amount to nothin at the time, and all jardine had to do was beat alexander and he woulda got himself a titeshot. then he went and beat a chuck lidell so he fought wanderei for a possible title contention and lost. then beat vera and got quinton for a another title contention and lost and hasnt won since. say what you want but it looked like they tried real hard to give this guy a title shot and he blew it every damn time. they always gave him top tier fighters and he never amounted to nothing against him. and lol at you saying it's a good thing jardine beat chuck but when shogun did it he was a battered man, chuck was the same fighter and shogun knocked his ass out while jardine squeeked out a victory. dont know if you're a fan of the ufc or not but they way dana usually does fights is if you win noticably or with a KO and Sub it realy shoots you high compared to a descision that could've easily went any way.

That and Shogun had a huge name and rep before the UFC. At the time when Jardine fought Rampage, there was talk about him getting a title shot if he won but he and Rashad had alreayd stated that they would not fight (Rashad had the title at the time) It's hard to push a guy that will not fight the champ because of friendships.

I was surprised they cut him, just because he does have a big name but after I looked at the salaries and noticed what he was getting paid it was not as much of a surprise. I mean getting $55,000 and losing 7 of 11. (I know in boxing terms $55,000 is a joke but in MMA it is descent for a fighter of Jardines caliber)

On top of that the UFC gave him 3 Main event fights and 5 co-main event fight.

Ya seen dat comin a long mile away, as 4 puttin on decent fights, the only fights that were decent or exciting were the ones he was gettin ko'd, ya he was a good stragetic fighter but it only lasted a while, yea he did it on forrest, vera and chucc, but if u remember chucc caught him a couple of times n dropped him, and da rampage fight 2 he used the cage but only lasted so long, rampage caught him n dropped him twice, dude never had a chin from the get go, good fights 2 c him get ko'd tho

R.I.P. Jardine, c u in strikeforce or dream, read that dana would consider giving him a second chance if he can prove himself elsewhere

One flaw of Jardine is that he needs to do more pure strength training. He really lacks punching power, he does have good stand up and is able to connect he hurt alot of fighters that he fought but he does not have that finishing power that he truly needs.
