No he has never had a start to a season like this...last Royal's player to start off 6-0 was Jose Lima back in 03'...that might be who you're thinkin' about...lol

Greinke has always had the talent...he is finally getting over his high anxiety issues that have plagued him throughout his young career. He'll be alright.

If there is 1 pitcher out there that i would want out there with the game on the line other then Soria it would be Greinke...he is emotionless out there and he just gets the job done when it matters.

Last year he started 5-1 with a 2.18 ERA. He ended up 13-10 with a respectable ERA. Not bad, but he fell off as the season progressed.

like i said...he has never had a start to a season like this.

last year he had a good one but nothing compared to like this year. the last player ever to start a season like this was Fernando Valenzuela back in 81' i think it was where he was also 6-0 but he had somethin' like a 0.34 ERA...

There has only been 3 players in MLB history to start a season with atleast a 6-0 record and have a sub 0.40 ERA...Greinke, Fernando and Walter Johnson since 1912 or some shit.

^162 games

ONLY 3 players have ever accomplished what Zach has.....3!

Yes, it is still early. That don't mean he still isn't the best pitcher in all of baseball right now though.

And thats great. But its not how you START the season, its how you FINISH it.

well...ONLY Walter Johnson could sustain his success all throughout his 1913 season when he ended up with a 36-7 record and 1.14 ERA. Back then pitching was more dominant then hitting, today it is the opposite. Greinke will not have those kind of numbers...no pitcher ever will but he is doing his thing in a hitter's era against some of the best offenses in all of baseball this season...White Sox Twice, Blue Jays, Tigers, Rangers and Indians....

Go ahead and keep telling yourself its not how you START the season but how you FINISH the season then. Last time I checked Greinke finished off last season with a 14 inning scoreless streak aswell...so he FINISHED off last season GREAT and has STARTED this season GREAT too!

To be the only one in a category with Walter Johnson and Fernando Valenzuela in the entire history of MLB is an accomplishment in itself.

Damn it.

He got the loss tonight against the Angels 1-0 but he still managed to pitch a CG and strikeout 5...Still has an ERA under 1 too....0.51 to be exact.

Not to shabby i must say...Angels just manufactured that 1 run and that was all it took.
