In my opinion, one of the reasons StL exploded onto the music scene was in part by Nelly and Co. His tunes were catchy and people liked them. Here is my question, what made people look at the StL in the first place? The year was a great year for StL sports. Rams won the super bowl, cards made it to playoffs, and blues made it to the playoffs. The rams winning the superbowl definately had people looking at the StL. a lot of people loved the StL because of the rams cinderella story. that is when other things get noticed.
Your chiefs are 8-0! an impressive record. Recently you have the Dante Hall song. And that might appear on Letterman. this might be the kind of exposure KC hip hop needs. If chiefs go to the superbowl (and i see no reason why they shouldn't) then KC will get more exposure than it's had in a long time. Now is the time for KC hip hop to step up. Even if it means making a crappy little pop song to get noticed nationally. Sports and music have always been hand in hand. if done right, this will be a big year for KC chiefs and hip hop.
